Bible Journaling - Healing

Bible Journaling provides so many benefits.  It calms me, allows me to meditate, allows me to feel closer to God, and provides many of the benefits of a prayer journal. Today, I am sharing two pages I have recently done focusing on healing. One was done for a friend of mine and one for my husband.  Both are dealing with some longer term and very serious health issues.  I have been praying the medicine works, their bodies heal, and the doctors are doing the right things.

I have to tell you that it has been scary and confusing in my husband's case.  At first we just thought it would be a few days of high power antibiotics. Then that turned to weeks, then other issues arose, and now we are facing surgery.  The good news is he has quit smoking and is eating very healthy.  This woke him up to the dangers of smoking and not treating diabetes seriously.

Bible Journaling and praying have been anchors for me during this struggle.  Be sure and add both my friend and my husband to your prayer list.

On this page, I focused on how big our troubles can seem.  Jonah knew his troubles were very big when he was running from God and was swallowed by a large fish.  He knew deep down he couldn't outrun or out convince God.
On this page I focused on Acts 28:8-10 where Paul prayed over the people on the island and, through God's power, he healed them.  I drew a foot that looks a lot like my sweet hubby's foot.  He is missing his big toe, but he does have three hammer toes that look like these. I have had several answered prayers with his foot, but there is a risk he may lose more of it and we don't want that outcome.

I used my new Arteza brush pens - I love the way they look!  I will have to do page prep with them in the future.  I apologize for the picture quality - I have a new computer today and haven't figured out how to crop very well with it yet.
Many hugz!

More Wreaths!!!

Hello friends,

I wish I was better about keeping my blog updated, but things have been so busy around here it is hard to remember.  I had some minor surgery and then hubby got very sick and spent a week in the hospital.  We are on the mend though!

I have a few fun wreaths to share today.

The first one was made for today's Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com.  I was inspired by a lovely wreath at Pottery Barn.  The gold puffs are the new DRS Designs image, Puff Circle.  The leaves and foliage are various Spellbinder, Sizzix and SU! dies.  The flower is from Recollections.  I finished it all off with part of an Easter sentiment from DRS Designs.

My next wreath was made using the new Feathers 3-in-1 image from DRS Designs along with some Tim Holtz Holiday Foliage die cuts in craft.  I tucked in a few fussy cut Open Leaf Branches, a Silly Bird, and the new Thinking of You, Tweetie greeting.

I made this wreath in January using my daugher's (Crystal) LimeLife makeup.  The blushes and eyeshadows are so pretty.  All my stamps are from DRS Designs.
Hope you are all doing well.  I sure appreciate you stopping by and visiting.  Hugz
