We have been trying to do some remodeling and two of our Grandsons were heavy into wrestling tournaments which required traveling so we could support them. Things have settled down a bit allowing me a little more free time. I have been making lots of cards, I have just been posting them on Splitcoaststampers.com instead of on my blog. I miss all my blog friends though!</p><p>I was inspired today by the <a href="https://shoppingourstash.blogspot.com/2024/01/sos514-winter-wonderland.html">Shopping Our Stash challenge SOS514</a> - Winter Wonderland (winter landscape or white on white). I have a city landscape and some white on white too. <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLMxPXDpxKrUHGcwn2BkC8ZIIne5BcprAAZdg1qHJfEFqw-6oXEdzFMcyDb7YylwaC3cUr0ReOx1pZ0_i6vpdqjWdkRz2dnKsM2KVM89EPlGkDP6JA5xxKohEvOx34O1XT3OHAK-JDyzLrn2mwNu6WPha9Ft91YS8GbtN9VoyeYG11sd1M3ylleDxmH0M/s1124/winter%20scene.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1124" data-original-width="843" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLMxPXDpxKrUHGcwn2BkC8ZIIne5BcprAAZdg1qHJfEFqw-6oXEdzFMcyDb7YylwaC3cUr0ReOx1pZ0_i6vpdqjWdkRz2dnKsM2KVM89EPlGkDP6JA5xxKohEvOx34O1XT3OHAK-JDyzLrn2mwNu6WPha9Ft91YS8GbtN9VoyeYG11sd1M3ylleDxmH0M/w480-h640/winter%20scene.jpg" width="480" /></a></p>I started by stamping the Rubbernecker Window and Bench image. I watercolored it with Daniel Smith watercolors and added in a bunch of Snowtex. I split the image up and popped it on an embossed white background. When searching for a sentiment, I ran across my Scottie punch and thought it would add some whimsey. Both the sentiment and the Scottie punch are from SU! <div><br /></div><div>Hope you have all been doing well and staying cozy.</div><div><br /></div><div>Hugz,</div><div><br /></div><div>Nancy<br /><p><br /></p></div>nwilliams6http://www.blogger.com/profile/04082601593691555155noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1727941624982128352.post-14461339138199525922023-11-12T03:53:00.000-08:002023-11-12T03:53:11.019-08:00The Snuggle or Struggle is Real<p>Hello friends,</p><p>Isn't this new House Mouse Image the cutest? I am so glad that Spellbinders has partnered with House Mouse and brought in new images. I was inspired to add birch trees and snow after seeing <a href="https://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/2590097?&cat=500&ppuser=290534">THIS</a> pretty card. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqDByMMvz_wsVFvi9cwugk_cY5vfsuNrvf1shoGTUd_kOSVPK8eEyUSnRYrouHvIzNDHCW5b6UY3YF3XdrlzL-wdyTiltOKYFXJEz2aTWot4BAhW7B6ooGuPi2T9FH6oaOQirU98ODc9eYwV8B5X0FPApyszVNWjM9up3iRLfEGsbzoSUqWxsTrsquDBc/s600/snuggle.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="600" data-original-width="415" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqDByMMvz_wsVFvi9cwugk_cY5vfsuNrvf1shoGTUd_kOSVPK8eEyUSnRYrouHvIzNDHCW5b6UY3YF3XdrlzL-wdyTiltOKYFXJEz2aTWot4BAhW7B6ooGuPi2T9FH6oaOQirU98ODc9eYwV8B5X0FPApyszVNWjM9up3iRLfEGsbzoSUqWxsTrsquDBc/w442-h640/snuggle.jpg" width="442" /></a></div><p>The snow is done with Snowtex which is one of my favorite winter mediums, and I painted the birch trees with black acrylic paint mixed with water and painted with an old credit card. Everything else was painted with Daniel Smith watercolors. This is being entered in the <a href="https://housemouse-challenge.blogspot.com/">HMFMC#402</a> which is Anything Goes with an option of rainbow. While you might not think of a rainbow when you see this card, I actually used a lot of colors in the painting: yellows, browns, pinks, reds, and blues. Some are not obvious because they are mixed with other colors or a very light. </p><p>Thanks for dropping by. I have been a little under the weather lately, but I am feeling much better. </p><p>Hugz,</p><p>Nancy</p>nwilliams6http://www.blogger.com/profile/04082601593691555155noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1727941624982128352.post-1149764743868619392023-10-17T06:00:00.005-07:002023-10-17T06:00:47.135-07:00Halloween Lunch Pictures and Some Art<p>Happy T-day!</p><p>Our favorite local restaurant is Fox's Pizza Den where they have great pizza, sandwiches, pasta and salads. They also have a Bourbon Bar. Prices range from $7 to almost $1,000 on the bourbon and bourbon drinks. </p><p>Each holiday, the bourbon bar comes up with fun holiday themed drinks and they decorate the bar too. A few weeks ago, we headed there for lunch and to try one of the new drinks. Here is the holiday drink menu and my tickets to <a href="https://alteredbooklover.blogspot.com/2023/10/t-stands-for-spice-merchant-part-3.html">T-day over at Elizabeth's Blog</a> where we share our fun drink related items from the week. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxaSM2z3EQeSEt9xxx_NpigF8DAW5LNl1aMkHPTLAvJkWc54-HLAlx4bI7qoTyF3xo2ySHglRcmvRgnuOEk97Xho873uhR4l7Pzptl7dZHR0IJ4ZF2YlXunHk4TuCRrf6mm-NRMPeEM4AaL9zd0p9-bDSpLqC-C6P1oafniiYaCFWPIs3dihZ1rFuHME4/s2048/drink%20menu.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxaSM2z3EQeSEt9xxx_NpigF8DAW5LNl1aMkHPTLAvJkWc54-HLAlx4bI7qoTyF3xo2ySHglRcmvRgnuOEk97Xho873uhR4l7Pzptl7dZHR0IJ4ZF2YlXunHk4TuCRrf6mm-NRMPeEM4AaL9zd0p9-bDSpLqC-C6P1oafniiYaCFWPIs3dihZ1rFuHME4/w300-h400/drink%20menu.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>Of course, my daughter loves vampire books and movies so she picked the blood bag.<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEii-cxy-7Jqgx_jjuGSGP2-T2-P8ObYoJeoQ2zV2daPYu7KJTocByZOclCmg7xPeZM5y6JUk-SvOX2izGi8U8SqPHDfp51TuE7sOulFqfJtGEMS7AcE3ZYznuhyCu3tWgt7JHPD51nf5VdpWnW0Ve6TpclXn0VgNcFuq07u_l8URQB05Q3_4dPH-xQvCwI/s600/blood%20bag.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="600" data-original-width="450" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEii-cxy-7Jqgx_jjuGSGP2-T2-P8ObYoJeoQ2zV2daPYu7KJTocByZOclCmg7xPeZM5y6JUk-SvOX2izGi8U8SqPHDfp51TuE7sOulFqfJtGEMS7AcE3ZYznuhyCu3tWgt7JHPD51nf5VdpWnW0Ve6TpclXn0VgNcFuq07u_l8URQB05Q3_4dPH-xQvCwI/w300-h400/blood%20bag.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>I go more for taste so I got the Meet Your Maker - it was wonderful. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcaEBqjcGVZmspCv79zH80p14RMYGb957SWDXTZmNsB-VnT10vXCaJ2OR6z0a21BY6XbN7uyH7-BRrhxWwuZ5UsPcD-1ueseoskRm7glCmyjrRFB8tiaHVvDKw7U2d-X3oKmt0XICvWJYbBE63C2qk6kzbShVTPUojDPIJHY4meMfnL4-lsyz5e_pLk7w/s2048/my%20drink%201.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1492" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcaEBqjcGVZmspCv79zH80p14RMYGb957SWDXTZmNsB-VnT10vXCaJ2OR6z0a21BY6XbN7uyH7-BRrhxWwuZ5UsPcD-1ueseoskRm7glCmyjrRFB8tiaHVvDKw7U2d-X3oKmt0XICvWJYbBE63C2qk6kzbShVTPUojDPIJHY4meMfnL4-lsyz5e_pLk7w/w291-h400/my%20drink%201.jpg" width="291" /></a></div>We shared a pizza and a salad. I forgot to take a picture of the pizza, but I did get one of the salad. It had grilled chicken and potato wedges - super fun. They make their ranch dressing on site and it is wonderful. My husband has been known to drink it so it could actually be my ticket to T-day - lol. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-hX2npW5tS_kLXXA0Ivm0vhccrWbIkj3fA7RXIrEJa-0q0sTFUk3up-BjC6JLItHl7ScbCHFEwTI2DO-Q1NLBPyl1oMierir796r2NXErblSLGrWo7Xdfx5ri_Jdi1HwGbstAKCb0M0lGola0iZ8WlYabXAPqt_irx6Sd8ywbmFHxwYEwzwr0sMvBK5U/s600/chicken%20salad.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="600" data-original-width="450" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-hX2npW5tS_kLXXA0Ivm0vhccrWbIkj3fA7RXIrEJa-0q0sTFUk3up-BjC6JLItHl7ScbCHFEwTI2DO-Q1NLBPyl1oMierir796r2NXErblSLGrWo7Xdfx5ri_Jdi1HwGbstAKCb0M0lGola0iZ8WlYabXAPqt_irx6Sd8ywbmFHxwYEwzwr0sMvBK5U/w300-h400/chicken%20salad.jpg" width="300" /></a></div><div>Here is a picture of one of their fun decorations (a body bag on the antlers).</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgojtqjQs_rlmEp3mypBdC1AcCKinc5suR306da8ygo3LytAOagaZBrALe9C2WpZ5qChgIRSG25fYqotlt4P5fWSar8YLC3bT2hUw7Be904qI5p26dcZIVCZluV3J42F4PNY4qB5Gu4n1wYc9qToX2JTnQRi2kxxHd3qBYd8aT9P7DmCkz25NL35sttTHY/s2048/body.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgojtqjQs_rlmEp3mypBdC1AcCKinc5suR306da8ygo3LytAOagaZBrALe9C2WpZ5qChgIRSG25fYqotlt4P5fWSar8YLC3bT2hUw7Be904qI5p26dcZIVCZluV3J42F4PNY4qB5Gu4n1wYc9qToX2JTnQRi2kxxHd3qBYd8aT9P7DmCkz25NL35sttTHY/w300-h400/body.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>Here is a picture of one of the alcohol walls (they have 2 and also a large bourbon safe as well). There are little skulls hanging from the ladder too. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRnhED5Jk32zwVgZ-8b8nTZFBjEr-eNgcJoyURM3J9uXr-wiv2G-n393GuxNb7oPHiXZYwraVrfgDwFmgsDCt9P17wnB3SQDKEtCi2jfqxkYWL3wRklePLbmQz19AhrNuxSaVrOCvyaXcWQVH2ObUTIJ1R5yYMTzoL1afldP3dznm-remxx03kKt8GPmo/s2048/alcohol%20wall.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRnhED5Jk32zwVgZ-8b8nTZFBjEr-eNgcJoyURM3J9uXr-wiv2G-n393GuxNb7oPHiXZYwraVrfgDwFmgsDCt9P17wnB3SQDKEtCi2jfqxkYWL3wRklePLbmQz19AhrNuxSaVrOCvyaXcWQVH2ObUTIJ1R5yYMTzoL1afldP3dznm-remxx03kKt8GPmo/w300-h400/alcohol%20wall.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>It was a fun outing. I may go back in a few weeks for my birthday - before they take down the Halloween items and stop playing all the fun Halloween songs. <div><br /></div><div>I also have some art to share. The mission was to make a CAS mixed media creation. I slapped some watercolors on my MISTI cover and smooshed some white paper in it (don't you love the grid pattern in the upper left?). Then I stamped the Peculiar Pumpkin Patch and Spooky Jack Greeting from DRS Designs. I popped up a few of the pumpkins and a few noses plus I replaced the scary pumpkin in the greeting with one from the pumpkin patch. Of course, I finished it off with some vintage photo ink around the edges and some Black Stickles. <br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4IXltImTE9TzFtHdyKtzwZ3ESth7e_kmKyqKZFW0ZjArsBH6katiJ22B4cfFgrPBexeDtHLSr8YL87joPochjLeqS7B6BoKcjhDd58Mr6oZbECMyaXi1326TL06gzKIAKJ3zM3ZGkj-SBZtjuoVvfsV4KepfT3TNV165I3RM39-1xm8tx3cftPNQd-zA/s2048/CAS%20Halloween.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1460" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4IXltImTE9TzFtHdyKtzwZ3ESth7e_kmKyqKZFW0ZjArsBH6katiJ22B4cfFgrPBexeDtHLSr8YL87joPochjLeqS7B6BoKcjhDd58Mr6oZbECMyaXi1326TL06gzKIAKJ3zM3ZGkj-SBZtjuoVvfsV4KepfT3TNV165I3RM39-1xm8tx3cftPNQd-zA/w456-h640/CAS%20Halloween.jpg" width="456" /></a></div>Hope you have been up to wonderful things since last T-day. The remodel of our house next door has taken our mental and physical energy. I think a few more weeks and things will be on the contractor instead of us. Hopefully I will be back to normal by then.</p><p><br /></p><p>My Oldest Darling Daughter asked if we wanted to come for dinner Saturday. Translation: go to the store with me and we will bring part of dinner to your house and you cook the rest. While at the store, I saw one 6 pack of this fun <a href="https://www.pointbeer.com/beers/year-round-brews/milkshake-malt-porter/">milkshake porter</a> so, of course, I bought it. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0AIh3yu04XBQuQuxYrq6EYGyOqPcfqIsLJdU1Id_pj1AtG72dS5PoJbTWbZo53Qq1U-J7sbVr0g5sZaE4V4NRl1ItiZUusqAedYKwVUm8tTD0uFHziBOYRxyIeeU8s6sMuK3jd3sK4SaHjTK6kYC-8cc_df8-_1ZkED8s9coJydpDBA76az9lvyaqMN8/s2048/milkshake.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1266" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0AIh3yu04XBQuQuxYrq6EYGyOqPcfqIsLJdU1Id_pj1AtG72dS5PoJbTWbZo53Qq1U-J7sbVr0g5sZaE4V4NRl1ItiZUusqAedYKwVUm8tTD0uFHziBOYRxyIeeU8s6sMuK3jd3sK4SaHjTK6kYC-8cc_df8-_1ZkED8s9coJydpDBA76az9lvyaqMN8/w396-h640/milkshake.jpg" width="396" /></a></div>It smells wonderful (a hint of chocolate and a hit of malt) and has a light creamy taste. I would definitely buy it again if I see it. My son-in-law did not like it, but he is more a Miller Lite fan. Now if this had been a whiskey, he would have been all over it. LOL. I made Mexican cornbread, and we made little stuffed new potatoes together. To entertain the kids, we also made <a href="https://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/ree-drummond/pretzel-spider-webs-9414999">pretzel spiderweb candy</a> for dessert. They took a bit of effort, but came out adorable. Next time, I will get a picture. </div><div><br /></div><div>Now for a bit of art.</div><div><br /></div><div>This Bible Journal page is for Elle's <a href="https://art-journal-journey.blogspot.com/2023/09/books-cats-tea.html">**Art*Journal*Journey* theme of Books, Cats, and Tea </a>(any or all of the three will work).</div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhYd7UcRlrDVjbBNyzNwfCIJ2sA7VhKNlJLmUm7pQqDLQVp1-dS8jRR7xbp1DfNyNT8A8BIhBMj_dJdI58pzie93FiKtW_6t4oqZNOj9Wzts2vsWgHcbWpHOHKUYfNoFUMvFc3EEYTHU6M7cHj6FqtOlEsdX7hS7ANbjRIxRB_sW6Hr6FVjtv_2SwQhlow/s552/1%20Peter%204.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="506" data-original-width="552" height="586" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhYd7UcRlrDVjbBNyzNwfCIJ2sA7VhKNlJLmUm7pQqDLQVp1-dS8jRR7xbp1DfNyNT8A8BIhBMj_dJdI58pzie93FiKtW_6t4oqZNOj9Wzts2vsWgHcbWpHOHKUYfNoFUMvFc3EEYTHU6M7cHj6FqtOlEsdX7hS7ANbjRIxRB_sW6Hr6FVjtv_2SwQhlow/w640-h586/1%20Peter%204.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /><div>I used part of an image from the House Mouse and Friends Coloring Book. I laid down a foundation of clear gesso, then I put down the fussy cut image, colored everything with Daniel Smith watercolors, and then popped up one of the mice so it looks like it is feeding the kitty. I colored the kitty like my very first cat, Tom. He was a bit mean and would have eaten these cute little mice, but I loved him. The bible verses I focused on are in 1 Peter 4: 8-9. Hard words to hear some days, but definitely ones we need to keep working on (at least I do). I didn't want to miss posting a drink for the week even with all the craziness. My cousin and I use to have a ritual where a few nights a week we would sit on my deck, drink Line-A-Ritas, and solve the world's problems. She moved away and we didn't have a chance to do it any longer. She moved back a month ago so we met up for a few Ritas. It was too hot to sit outside so we sat inside.</p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7JCtHP0zntpEjLuSaCeSgxDmL06GhPfZE-haOafZmGKhvJHV3WgWz3rJ8pRZJXJgt9FAZs4EEA8A-bPF4wJKLunk2HZRTBXbUaptzEZM7ihw93WEl9lkslK_foPOZZJsVA4QxBymdjlrm4toZhj5EhpN3L8NagGOTWZh2Oet0-BDTLF1fcCnrnBJ5C3g/s2048/Limearita.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1722" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7JCtHP0zntpEjLuSaCeSgxDmL06GhPfZE-haOafZmGKhvJHV3WgWz3rJ8pRZJXJgt9FAZs4EEA8A-bPF4wJKLunk2HZRTBXbUaptzEZM7ihw93WEl9lkslK_foPOZZJsVA4QxBymdjlrm4toZhj5EhpN3L8NagGOTWZh2Oet0-BDTLF1fcCnrnBJ5C3g/w538-h640/Limearita.jpg" width="538" /></a></div>We also snacked on some Doritos and Strawberry Cake (if we do it again we will have to leave off the snacks as I gained a pound that day - lol). The drinks were also way sweeter than I remembered but the man at our local country store told me how to fix that and even gave me one of the ingredients for the fix free. I love that little store.<p></p><p>Why was this week so crazy? Football practice, birthday party planning, two LARGE family gatherings, watching grandkids, and several sleepless nights worrying about our remodeling project next door. Looks like it will start soon but now we have limited time to clean it out before the remodelers come....</p><p>Here is some recent art - all of it a big scary....sorry but I love Halloween. </p><p>The Danger Window is new from DRS Designs as are the sentiments. I made this first background using and ink/spray/smash technique and then running it through an embossing folder lightly touched with black ink so the lines would show better.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4KEFzfJfH6pjuwi41LXpOyIqQ5oMWUZdyUDeVGPU0JXA1VgL7nFUyOMTGYU_XXClXavtXG6cyADCOSP7-EV72f5AqqrBjd5dUhMLAT4lprb40hIhQh_LXYk4KqfNWG7h9MaCo8vPHrWgONVqc0rZe0AYkHDA7E5NBMAjY3fj_S1Aqs0FAxzKH8tr0mqM/s2048/halloween%203.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1518" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4KEFzfJfH6pjuwi41LXpOyIqQ5oMWUZdyUDeVGPU0JXA1VgL7nFUyOMTGYU_XXClXavtXG6cyADCOSP7-EV72f5AqqrBjd5dUhMLAT4lprb40hIhQh_LXYk4KqfNWG7h9MaCo8vPHrWgONVqc0rZe0AYkHDA7E5NBMAjY3fj_S1Aqs0FAxzKH8tr0mqM/w474-h640/halloween%203.jpg" width="474" /></a></div><p>This next background was done by sponging white paper ran through the same embossing folder as above. When the waitress asked what I wanted to drink, I had a sudden craving for a martini. I use to love them, but I guess my tastes have changed because I wasn't a fan. I was a fan of the chips and dips though!</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZ4HPu4pDUJAKIpd3g8T1_YvCPodxl2c8OmaKv_5r_RGU9CAdCrDQbqUjgGurAr5BYXFIUuztyw1AlYm7vkWk__XZXen8ht0a8tI4zI3cGRhGzyyndOCLgyAxbkquEdukNr-C8CX1EqEo4BUgoMvs689FMKQx46nCS158Ssd71zimutLa4rEMU6MESMTY/s2048/martini.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1626" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZ4HPu4pDUJAKIpd3g8T1_YvCPodxl2c8OmaKv_5r_RGU9CAdCrDQbqUjgGurAr5BYXFIUuztyw1AlYm7vkWk__XZXen8ht0a8tI4zI3cGRhGzyyndOCLgyAxbkquEdukNr-C8CX1EqEo4BUgoMvs689FMKQx46nCS158Ssd71zimutLa4rEMU6MESMTY/w508-h640/martini.jpg" width="508" /></a></div>And the day before, I brought my Sister's fabulous peanut butter cupcakes. I did a Bible Journal Page in my Journaling Bible - Luke 13:24-25. Of course, we live in Alabama so it is probably a lot more Alabama High Tea than English High Tea, but it was lovely, delicious, and super fun. Even my Uncle sat with us and asked when we could do it again. High compliment for sure. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgnLLIiWeGet-w50rfs64YZKL-9e85QSuAqP_-LGl_Hm0Mj9vwMSJBtKE6vDrYo4EI_ULqQ6soza4waajyNOfRjIdsmP0NLDtLku7O8tnhnF-vBLbT8Rag7r_nwu5BncEJ-XLuDhDvQN7rmpCkwXMT34mDnLXPVF3k3KNZbXaxObS9npdjKIGZ4b5G5fYo/s679/A%20high%20tea.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="679" data-original-width="526" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgnLLIiWeGet-w50rfs64YZKL-9e85QSuAqP_-LGl_Hm0Mj9vwMSJBtKE6vDrYo4EI_ULqQ6soza4waajyNOfRjIdsmP0NLDtLku7O8tnhnF-vBLbT8Rag7r_nwu5BncEJ-XLuDhDvQN7rmpCkwXMT34mDnLXPVF3k3KNZbXaxObS9npdjKIGZ4b5G5fYo/w496-h640/A%20high%20tea.jpg" width="496" /></a></div>We had scones and marmalade, passion fruit lemonde tea, chicken salad mini-croisants, pimento cheese mini-sandwiches, cucumber circles, fruit, mini lemon cheesecakes, and candied figs on crackers with cream cheese. Key lime cake was our nod to the birthdays nnd was made with fresh limes (it was yummy). This is my ticket to the T-day Party over at <a href="https://alteredbooklover.blogspot.com/2023/08/t-stands-for-high-tea.html">Elizabeth's blog</a> where she is sharing an invitation she received to a more traditional High Tea. <div><br /></div><div>I wasn't super productive this last week as I was still mending from the strep throat and ear infections, but I did get a bit of art done.</div><div><br /></div><div>The art was sketched and painted using the wet on damp technique. This is my hot tea at the local Japanese Habachi Restaurant where we celebrated my oldest Grandson turning 8. This was actually his 3rd or 4th get-together for his birthday. If he wasn't such an wonderful kid, he would be horribly obnoxious with all the spoiling he gets. It was his third or fourth cake too. </p><p>I ordered <a href="https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/oolong-tea-benefits">Oolong </a>as I was kind of feeling a little under the weather and thought it might help. It did. We had a wonderful time. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVhWaDMADbuTD9Ar_qsn2Od_AkMpOWyZfMTyRiqURzkZv3MBMHaySzu0Cqh-oxwBUifsFth5MOX1W4DpmI7qQMfIpgP_v5Yp-ps3b3sVECOhtfbdD8KurrOn5vfWlVQxqQIO-hv9Iw2vFlb4xf3ZJO8T6C3T1qqDODO-N_MtcpjRkVPThXSvAU64ww5aI/s2048/Tea.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVhWaDMADbuTD9Ar_qsn2Od_AkMpOWyZfMTyRiqURzkZv3MBMHaySzu0Cqh-oxwBUifsFth5MOX1W4DpmI7qQMfIpgP_v5Yp-ps3b3sVECOhtfbdD8KurrOn5vfWlVQxqQIO-hv9Iw2vFlb4xf3ZJO8T6C3T1qqDODO-N_MtcpjRkVPThXSvAU64ww5aI/w480-h640/Tea.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>I ended up coming down with strep throat and a double ear infection so last week was a lot of laying on the couch for me. I did bnge watched some Harry Potter and all the episodes of 1883. Elsa may be one of my favorite characters of all time. I hope there really were young women with that open of a heart and that strong a spirit. I could listen to that actress read her thoughful words all day long. <div><br /></div><div>I did feel a tiny bit better on the weekend so, of course, I did some art. </div><div><br /></div><div>This ATC was done for a Swap theme of "inspired by any song." I sketched the eye and stripes with a Sharpie pen and then colored the remainder with Daniel Smith Watercolors and some Tim Holtz Distress Inks. A bit of white gel pen, black Micron Pen, and Versamark sprinkled with clear EP finished it off. </div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgk3BZ-cZj4cC4TNOjvP_nsqi0AFmWVQ2-p4FBN6cJCA_wPB-BtbCO4sQiNQBcRMMTAs-N9E91xKsqau5bJjM5peUEgEpE2gQFmms1LFX3fllW_HN3e5p6k6yV12njFQxWCipHpIYcPsJQUgj-IYizDv-ztpNHw4sC9lMS9DhodDa2C_sLwhOeP2si2ghw/s600/Tiger%20eye.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="600" data-original-width="455" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgk3BZ-cZj4cC4TNOjvP_nsqi0AFmWVQ2-p4FBN6cJCA_wPB-BtbCO4sQiNQBcRMMTAs-N9E91xKsqau5bJjM5peUEgEpE2gQFmms1LFX3fllW_HN3e5p6k6yV12njFQxWCipHpIYcPsJQUgj-IYizDv-ztpNHw4sC9lMS9DhodDa2C_sLwhOeP2si2ghw/w486-h640/Tiger%20eye.jpg" width="486" /></a></div><br /><div>I did the ATC after I made this lion eye card for my middle Grandson who plays for the Prattville Lions and has been struggling in the heat at practice. The words are from Eye of the Tiger (he will know that as he is a big music fan), but he will like that I twisted it to Lions for him. </div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrWLsApdxYxvfx0AlD2V-G8qN178i8wgQNXzmTpDBKAlWqDUbL_ZQQgrTt90vHfjDzvcEmR10hm_AbwPGeqeJsEOusbWVp7Zg7rxnIsrMLTAN0q9lm-i6h53dBVqMc7FOi8XQIULmgytmg5YLqgw5UqLkLsAEdu4nvsd1RnORHTFZ5q27eHE_2h12Ouqw/s601/Lion%20eye.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="601" data-original-width="417" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrWLsApdxYxvfx0AlD2V-G8qN178i8wgQNXzmTpDBKAlWqDUbL_ZQQgrTt90vHfjDzvcEmR10hm_AbwPGeqeJsEOusbWVp7Zg7rxnIsrMLTAN0q9lm-i6h53dBVqMc7FOi8XQIULmgytmg5YLqgw5UqLkLsAEdu4nvsd1RnORHTFZ5q27eHE_2h12Ouqw/w444-h640/Lion%20eye.jpg" width="444" /></a></div><div>I also cased <a href="https://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/3132078?sort=0&page=0&sortby=&sorttime=&sortdir=">THIS </a>beautiful Grinch card by Mimi as she is the Featured Stamper over at Splitcoaststampers.com this week. Especially to the T-day gang over at <a href="https://alteredbooklover.blogspot.com/2023/08/t-stands-for-more-gifts-hopefully-last.html">Elizabeth's Blog </a>where we all share a drink related picture/post. I am starting this post off with one of my last drinks on our Georgia trip. This picture was taken in the Airbnb we stayed near Savannah. It was on hte Isle of Hope and it was right across the street from Wormsloe Plantation (seriously - we could just walk over to it and could see it out our windows. The tree lined streets were amazing! My drink is a vanilla porter from <a href="https://www.breckbrew.com/">Breckenridge Brewery</a> out of Colorado. I was hoping for a good local one, but they didn't have any that I knew I would love AND I knew I would love this one. It was wonderful. What a cool name - I think is a band but not totally sure and running out of time to look it up. <div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiMdiUCBIiO8Gv4hg0gm_XJQ5NpAiFfQnNTybpegYX4qEhU4kqF6Q0spCUbOn3LIkP-hhIEeI1b7maevVlXg5tVvWUQ8I-xkB8j6tRLsHYpUSk8kut4wNWx1hQYfKss1eCn-R2bwy1i0LMilpYLroScWSvS2viYk9bAQXy9S3kju90GJMkYTggCvfdg9wQ" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"></a><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiMdiUCBIiO8Gv4hg0gm_XJQ5NpAiFfQnNTybpegYX4qEhU4kqF6Q0spCUbOn3LIkP-hhIEeI1b7maevVlXg5tVvWUQ8I-xkB8j6tRLsHYpUSk8kut4wNWx1hQYfKss1eCn-R2bwy1i0LMilpYLroScWSvS2viYk9bAQXy9S3kju90GJMkYTggCvfdg9wQ" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjbA9v3iG9AceRktuTMpYizam8ICGV_JbJN4bP1MZS_FKJgVWBxvf84ME9bL9BY6cd93le-OKjgBocz_3YTsyJSjqLmo9bJYivvs30ywLOruT_5Mji8evZGC_sa5ZTXfFmMhvChP1isDxhpwig7E5zcBJjFwtDofpi731fTlNF3OaPbHpMll0B-zk3y4jk" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="497" data-original-width="506" height="630" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjbA9v3iG9AceRktuTMpYizam8ICGV_JbJN4bP1MZS_FKJgVWBxvf84ME9bL9BY6cd93le-OKjgBocz_3YTsyJSjqLmo9bJYivvs30ywLOruT_5Mji8evZGC_sa5ZTXfFmMhvChP1isDxhpwig7E5zcBJjFwtDofpi731fTlNF3OaPbHpMll0B-zk3y4jk=w640-h630" width="640" /></a></div><br /></div>Speaking of Shakey Graves lets get back to my last pictures I am sharing from Georgia. I love haunted places, so we went to the Chickamauga Battlefield before we left Chickamauga. The Battle of Chickamauga was the second bloodest battle in the civil war. The Confederate army won, but lost 20% of its men. There are memorials and markers for miles and even in the trees/forest. They battled all over the place. Here is one of the memorials.<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHJWrkuxIA2p7qZkc1aV2BBQFArQQJK2qWJySxVj7MBMrbuIaG3LJ4nSxZfk3lMEpYcV561i1b-lwVbm9H9FGq2wBUbAcrsDGC4VGo62qnHPzqfTVt56cXb-4v1Gt3ecLvqwmUKhfxBjDkx0yf0QDS9QlHXnRMzj2kUO5D-u7aDe_N-RzSTFwlbFNdag0/s2048/a%20grave%20yard%20for%20sure.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHJWrkuxIA2p7qZkc1aV2BBQFArQQJK2qWJySxVj7MBMrbuIaG3LJ4nSxZfk3lMEpYcV561i1b-lwVbm9H9FGq2wBUbAcrsDGC4VGo62qnHPzqfTVt56cXb-4v1Gt3ecLvqwmUKhfxBjDkx0yf0QDS9QlHXnRMzj2kUO5D-u7aDe_N-RzSTFwlbFNdag0/w480-h640/a%20grave%20yard%20for%20sure.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>They say it is VERY haunted and being in the area at night is chilling. Going through their museum made me realize this was one of the stupidest wars of all time. Family killing family in the hot summer. More than half of them really had no idea why they were fighting and the leaders were all egotistical and fighting each other as well. There is a really cool ghost story if you are interested: <a href="https://www.themoonlitroad.com/green-eyes-chickamauga-battlefield-georgia/">Green Eyes of Chickamauga Battlefield</a>. </div><div><br /></div><div>When we went to Savannah we went downtown, drove to the beach, drove by the port, visited some of the Isles, went to several smaller graveyards, but my favorite place of all was the Bonaventure Cemetery (I know you are not surprised). Some say it is the most beautiful cemetery in the U.S. and it is in the top 10 in the World. I had no idea it was 100 acres (not 100 acres of graves though). We drove up and saw you could just walk or drive around for free so we decided to walk - lack of coffee may have had something to do with this crazy decision... It was middle of summer in a swampy area of Georgia. The bugs started coming out pretty heavy and it was hot and spooky. We tried to brave it for at least 30 minutes, but we decided to turn back as it was starting to get really buggy. The lines are not straight in this cemetery, there are tons of buildings (literally), and the trees are BIG with tons of moss hanging from them. The map was no help....My phone map was no help...Yes, we got lost! Just when I started getting a little panic feeling, a sweet couple our age drove up and stopped. They were super nice and gave us a ride back to our car (they were actually lost too but it is way better to be lost in an airconditioned car than walking in bugs and heat). So now I can say I was lost in a cemetery - how fun is that. I could have taken pictures of thousands of cool graves), but here are some of my favorites.</div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDD5EdVlJ_EK_9TMBYZM0pSad4NVDQkiQ_GFMypd0nFmJ7D6-KGjsnm4_qRYZKprv40jNq5HDkmszNbTW7N1ai2zACbbjKJyxgsCBvia-NXsgM0Xiubbz-kL8bcBCUbX-TgRpOjiNOs09uNUqD8o874dfutURPZCLXqvj3l7K3xTsJ6q6EigUX6zWCrrk/s2048/a%20graveyard%201.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; No chance to get lost and you would get a lot of fun information. They took the famous angel on the cover of Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil out, but you can visit it in one of the Savannah museums. There are still a bunch of other angels to see - we didn't even get to the really good part of the cemetery. </div><div><br /></div>It is back to school today for two of my grandsons. My daughter asked me to help her with some hello teacher gifts, and they came out super cute. The plastic bears came from Walmart, and they each had a Starbucks and a Walmart or Target Gift card with a few fun supplies. Both children are delighted with their teachers. Hoping it will be a great year. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgx5aVQZRtyhrim51nAYsFfL3-JHpBEBmlhjBhNODrujgRBtIjeDQLdL5-mMd-QzJLIAMOO97hF1RAlQxOkTEVcDwPSjbEefmMfrRucjb2g5x2AhetCwL7e8fCN8hPOruDyolLWHN_MvmzHRecxweu7amFZbkHNFwh8K3EM2136SDYyuWrl05IFwIudAB4/s600/ouside%20goodies.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="600" data-original-width="450" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgx5aVQZRtyhrim51nAYsFfL3-JHpBEBmlhjBhNODrujgRBtIjeDQLdL5-mMd-QzJLIAMOO97hF1RAlQxOkTEVcDwPSjbEefmMfrRucjb2g5x2AhetCwL7e8fCN8hPOruDyolLWHN_MvmzHRecxweu7amFZbkHNFwh8K3EM2136SDYyuWrl05IFwIudAB4/w480-h640/ouside%20goodies.jpg" width="480" /></a></div><br /><div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqkDn1VAAVV54liWd1npn6ItfLK-pDsstymOfKl8wCSF_56zzVIs1OQ9c9CxV1sTw43r8TRhihakYT4-T01gmEf5WmhkJSB2ctaBrxaU7WeBIuSZq92ODizoHr2OqzJCEGx5dp02LMp_YbTULqLpb1G6o4NWew8z9W7ZyMKs1tOYAZGr1YzKQKEEd4H20/s696/inside%20goodies.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="696" data-original-width="526" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqkDn1VAAVV54liWd1npn6ItfLK-pDsstymOfKl8wCSF_56zzVIs1OQ9c9CxV1sTw43r8TRhihakYT4-T01gmEf5WmhkJSB2ctaBrxaU7WeBIuSZq92ODizoHr2OqzJCEGx5dp02LMp_YbTULqLpb1G6o4NWew8z9W7ZyMKs1tOYAZGr1YzKQKEEd4H20/w484-h640/inside%20goodies.jpg" width="484" /></a></div><div>She saw this idea on TikTok. It is Tuesday somewhere so were posting our drink related posts and linking up over at <a href="https://alteredbooklover.blogspot.com/2023/07/t-stands-for-second-set-of-gifts.html">Elizabeth's blog. </a> Elizabeth is still celebrating her 10 years of T-day which is quite a feat! </p><p>I am posting my drink first in case you want to skip the rest of this post which is heavily ladden with Harry Potter (I know some of you are not fans). During our Geogia trip I wanted to try a few lobster rolls. When were were in Duluth, we found <a href="https://www.steamislobster.com/">Steami's Lobster</a> which was rated on the list of lobster rolls to try around Atlanta. I know this looks nothing like Erika's rolls from Pop's, but I wanted to try it anyway.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTYeEvCH2qrAYLtjG9KUY2NSsJvAce0kf-EvmiDsfdO1zrdIyXcV2FlOKTHnUhabphEsOJq6-c2LKykRRXLqpGgC7aolgSjV0tq-9qa_Lp7OINYMggBcx8mPd3pK2lV79ZKLUhxFt0NH1SAJbimWNhNdQbRbGtiOcUqcmwcD8FGbotHJD8xo6q3dO6uVg/s701/HP%20lobster%20roll.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="701" data-original-width="526" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTYeEvCH2qrAYLtjG9KUY2NSsJvAce0kf-EvmiDsfdO1zrdIyXcV2FlOKTHnUhabphEsOJq6-c2LKykRRXLqpGgC7aolgSjV0tq-9qa_Lp7OINYMggBcx8mPd3pK2lV79ZKLUhxFt0NH1SAJbimWNhNdQbRbGtiOcUqcmwcD8FGbotHJD8xo6q3dO6uVg/w480-h640/HP%20lobster%20roll.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>The beer was perfect with the lobster roll. I liked the lobster roll - I would give it a 7 out of 10. The roll part was very strange...I couldn't decide if it was supposed to be a rectangular hot dog bun or french bread. The lobster was wonderful, but the bread part didn't score high with me. Hubby had the lobster fries. He liked them. The night before got to Duluth, we stayed in the Harry Potter Dorm House in Chickamauga, Ga. I promised pictures so here they come (today is Harry's birthday so it seems the perfect day to post all this - lol). <div><br /></div><div>As I shared last week, we parked in front of the Ron's Dad's Flying car.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiugBwQMKgeCmEN3jiNk1vX10s150Y0v1E5SgaaIQN2EcPA38znyz2L2c_uz0IWxBQ2lg6wpUQNZwfMna0UvuhFe5-KiIQ0OLwyO2h4NspOdMOaQBbqfsKMe3d4snk92etbZ_NiSHn5MbRKW1wEVddEeCq1sTFzb4TZtQtq_7nQuueBQhxQ4FpdKiQVCS0/s2048/HP%20car.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiugBwQMKgeCmEN3jiNk1vX10s150Y0v1E5SgaaIQN2EcPA38znyz2L2c_uz0IWxBQ2lg6wpUQNZwfMna0UvuhFe5-KiIQ0OLwyO2h4NspOdMOaQBbqfsKMe3d4snk92etbZ_NiSHn5MbRKW1wEVddEeCq1sTFzb4TZtQtq_7nQuueBQhxQ4FpdKiQVCS0/w480-h640/HP%20car.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>The car was packed inside with details from the movie - Harry's trunk, Hedwig's cage, plus some other items. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEii0MbjGBTKakrDnigtk-XRb9vfV2GtrwHsgIM5VvyWF8pLQwB_hnVryBh8kfyeupSMbZf46FXBFXGfJE-vBmj78r4k6tmBco6YLJynJJGY3bgHDCCN2o7JKe5u6Bo2wSRk_PKxsmhGs37_m_FRVfduqaQuas4ROnDnZ4SKzjHoSlkemHbqKIj2HlSG1OA/s2048/HP%20inside%20car.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEii0MbjGBTKakrDnigtk-XRb9vfV2GtrwHsgIM5VvyWF8pLQwB_hnVryBh8kfyeupSMbZf46FXBFXGfJE-vBmj78r4k6tmBco6YLJynJJGY3bgHDCCN2o7JKe5u6Bo2wSRk_PKxsmhGs37_m_FRVfduqaQuas4ROnDnZ4SKzjHoSlkemHbqKIj2HlSG1OA/w480-h640/HP%20inside%20car.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>One of the rules is that you have to call in 30 minutes before you get there so they can start the "magic." I won't tell you the magic in case you want to stay there too, but it is super FUN. We tried to call 30 minutes before but we were the very top of lookout mountain and had no service. So then we had to drive around Chickamauga for a bit... The Dorm Room house is actually a tiny house. It doesn't look like it could be from Harry Potter on the outside but it does have this fun mail box and a cool door. <br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgEo9RVsI7n8kPMTHzrtXzEEEtLzyOwH710vtF8MxcvpxWqZ6clWzWjRs3CV2Z_ooCV7_SRq1MsPz1d7xt_coY_0fZSb85-oQWPgPSLZyXRdwjCtcCujh1QsZgpE4UjHUXUzW8qis_-MAPWB54QUEd7pGNf87-Gk9k_iXqjb6Ib0pI4_73Ql7qjEP1LC-A/s600/HP%20mail.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="600" data-original-width="436" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgEo9RVsI7n8kPMTHzrtXzEEEtLzyOwH710vtF8MxcvpxWqZ6clWzWjRs3CV2Z_ooCV7_SRq1MsPz1d7xt_coY_0fZSb85-oQWPgPSLZyXRdwjCtcCujh1QsZgpE4UjHUXUzW8qis_-MAPWB54QUEd7pGNf87-Gk9k_iXqjb6Ib0pI4_73Ql7qjEP1LC-A/w466-h640/HP%20mail.jpg" width="466" /></a></div>By the way, this house is right next door to the Adventure Movie house which is decorated like Raiders of the Lost Ark. That house is bigger and has three bedrooms. The bedrooms are hidden - you have to find them. It was Sunday and she had no one in it and she let me go exploring. I found one bedroom (it was behind a curtain in the bathroom. I couldn't find the other two. Hubby came back with me and we found another behind a book case. The owners had to tell us how to find the third one. It was the coolest room and it was decorate like a tent in the Amazon - literally. It was super cool! She also has several other properties like another Harry Potter themed house (bigger than the one we stayed in), the Gamekeeper's hut (like Hagrid's house), a Fairy Tale house, and a castle (complete with a hidden treasure and a giant shower - one of the biggest I have ever seen). All her properties are super reasonable and she is VERY nice. We want to go back. <div><br /></div><div>Now back to the Harry Potter themed dorm house we stayed in. When you come in there are "House Rules" and in the scroll there is a Scavenger hunt of Harry Potter items. There are hundreds (literally) of Harry Potter items in this house!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3Xm717k__CXczEmQkCpolMN2EkZ2VAdWZsFFdgsBhSe1j_DHfhkqhkM07I06BdIQcqex7uJixl1oZ8Hddwjtxm4IBnJmQ6JWK-gjNXNldrHghXeDG1oZh8i50HbxBe-QAV30uBfV9YPM__C7TLnQ_DFMUeoFjYcf-EEn_elTAFeLR8rfoirugpRR55tc/s2048/HP%20house%20rules.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3Xm717k__CXczEmQkCpolMN2EkZ2VAdWZsFFdgsBhSe1j_DHfhkqhkM07I06BdIQcqex7uJixl1oZ8Hddwjtxm4IBnJmQ6JWK-gjNXNldrHghXeDG1oZh8i50HbxBe-QAV30uBfV9YPM__C7TLnQ_DFMUeoFjYcf-EEn_elTAFeLR8rfoirugpRR55tc/w480-h640/HP%20house%20rules.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>I am not going to share everything just in case you want to come stay too, but I will share a few pictures. The bathroom was amazing and she put towels out matching our personal favorite houses.Hubby through my Ravenclaw towel in the tub so his house would be the only one showing (lol). I could show you 10 more pictures of the bathroom but my favorite part of the magic is in there and I don't want to ruin it for you if you want to go. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBN1zki6eVztbPc2WQRjplPRpkYsNXc_KGJETSyAPTJO7sTHMyHGV_Y_ONIqnIEgcV5NC45Gph2hi3n2jcjooZNY84YOAHWp0_9KtQ3UJUEwYC3bqcGnqyC1hrYO1QhCXEvCN_jZJFJHAh9a0QXPZV9pfN8yfoo1PTO8Oa2e5mbh_-ME1Wy8XO2LfNdgM/s2048/HP%20bathroom.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBN1zki6eVztbPc2WQRjplPRpkYsNXc_KGJETSyAPTJO7sTHMyHGV_Y_ONIqnIEgcV5NC45Gph2hi3n2jcjooZNY84YOAHWp0_9KtQ3UJUEwYC3bqcGnqyC1hrYO1QhCXEvCN_jZJFJHAh9a0QXPZV9pfN8yfoo1PTO8Oa2e5mbh_-ME1Wy8XO2LfNdgM/w480-h640/HP%20bathroom.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>This house has two twin beds and a couch so it only sleeps three. We had so much fun doing it last year touring around Tennessee and Kentucky. This year we tackled Georgia. We knew we wanted to do the top of the state and Savannah plus find at least one lobster roll (we did), but that was the extent of our plans. </div><div><br /></div><div>Our route took us through the top of Alabama. On our way, we stopped in Birmingham, Alabama for breakfast. It was a fun way to start the vacation. Right before we left, I looked up great places to stay in the top left corner of Georgia and I found one of the Harry Potter themed houses. I actually saw it was available on Sunday night which is right when we were going to be there. I tried to book one of her Harry Potter themed housed years ago, but it was booked up for over a year so I gave up. When I saw its availability, I felt it was fate and I booked it. Next week I will share pictures (I have to run to work and will be back to visit everyone tonight), but here is a sneak peek:</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7lp1tuCewbFNxNUAeVyFSPu9NVbk7Qipp2ehqHxEkkaMXG8UL4JGU-_rPt9maueYxvnWmgYlZb7XEzli26wjbCxSuFIgYNQXSybh6YxEilWGOEg5Q7uF7i4Br24ne_Nplh5flyG_z1VQRKGHkMgYU5tUPyu2j7QWCXu2Apb_4BFRrvgubQUmCST5lO4k/s2048/a%20flying%20car.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7lp1tuCewbFNxNUAeVyFSPu9NVbk7Qipp2ehqHxEkkaMXG8UL4JGU-_rPt9maueYxvnWmgYlZb7XEzli26wjbCxSuFIgYNQXSybh6YxEilWGOEg5Q7uF7i4Br24ne_Nplh5flyG_z1VQRKGHkMgYU5tUPyu2j7QWCXu2Apb_4BFRrvgubQUmCST5lO4k/w480-h640/a%20flying%20car.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>We got to park right in front of Ron's flying car. If you have visited me before, you know that I regularily participate in T-day where we all post something about a drink of any type (the drink can be anything including water and the post can be a real drink, words, movies, art, etc.) on Tuesday (or Monday lol) and link it to <a href="https://alteredbooklover.blogspot.com/2023/07/t-stands-for-our-10th-t-tuesday.html">Elizabeth's T-day blog post</a> for the week. </p><p>This year Elizabeth is asking us to post several things in celebration of the big anniversary. </p><p><b><u>#1.</u></b> Post a picture of something that makes the number 10. I used 10 art supplies that were near me. I am starting to make more Christmas cards so these were right at hand. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8Jm7KNn52yD_OmO_ACXNy7uTKVLXiaUwtMcPsAaEWcdNNWxyzfa38OVP9upJ20pHw_mG6hgwm07CoS8yVdOcgPwWn0zbd_IBZgz5523GOwTnRFflqCYqJTqrXdjtvCuB5IOWWNTlivqXs5cZO4FsVObp4EhZGBy5sNkd1WWsCW-iRxPO5jyiQ_1peu-4/s720/A%20big%2010.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="505" data-original-width="720" height="448" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8Jm7KNn52yD_OmO_ACXNy7uTKVLXiaUwtMcPsAaEWcdNNWxyzfa38OVP9upJ20pHw_mG6hgwm07CoS8yVdOcgPwWn0zbd_IBZgz5523GOwTnRFflqCYqJTqrXdjtvCuB5IOWWNTlivqXs5cZO4FsVObp4EhZGBy5sNkd1WWsCW-iRxPO5jyiQ_1peu-4/w640-h448/A%20big%2010.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><p><b><u>#2.</u></b> Post our regular T-day picture/post. I participated in the ATC and tea bag swap, and my partner was <a href="https://learning2justbreathe.blogspot.com/">Deb</a>. She also sent a pretty card she made along with some seeds. I LOVE EVERYTHING she sent including her pretty stamps. Side note to Deb - sorry my postage on the package I sent was not pretty but you saw what happened when our post office actually used stamps on Elizabeth's package - she had to pay $1.81 to get it - things are weird with our post office here in rural Alabama). </p><p>Here is the ATC she made and sent me:</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjAvXVtPkPiM2G4uKQ2incHgt3u1mbmCivtGx33374U9gQX4zhYMyvSI-4bbe46FpOlf3pr8-InpwsZigr0esO_rAsQ4jXBJIdH6vhGIZ7Ha40BfZDjiTWgi0I9P_E_fiUqZcPEcT3yw8JZT5zmC9maOlpucfdJUtuEcgEwNfBT2iDbr-LLHEcLBn4CrnA/s600/ATC.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="600" data-original-width="450" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjAvXVtPkPiM2G4uKQ2incHgt3u1mbmCivtGx33374U9gQX4zhYMyvSI-4bbe46FpOlf3pr8-InpwsZigr0esO_rAsQ4jXBJIdH6vhGIZ7Ha40BfZDjiTWgi0I9P_E_fiUqZcPEcT3yw8JZT5zmC9maOlpucfdJUtuEcgEwNfBT2iDbr-LLHEcLBn4CrnA/w480-h640/ATC.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>Notice she put a 10 on the bunny and made that really pretty tea/coffee cup for the lovely flowers. <div><br /></div><div>Here is the pretty card she made:</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiSrEYiRxqe1lt5fWltLgDmZyaTvX08gDuylEKBhnL_JuUSY6LJjoG-xRxwassb3ps0CDv_3G-S1uME41H9E7_w2B77qChPOegM5scoF5cbAUNKa3YEROenfd7XT7D_ejqbHPOFS3LOtyYLWp9s8DeIKepel8j1HjqAYNDtVHCOcDs3BY6yCre_LeZlu6c/s2048/A%20card%20from%20Deb.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiSrEYiRxqe1lt5fWltLgDmZyaTvX08gDuylEKBhnL_JuUSY6LJjoG-xRxwassb3ps0CDv_3G-S1uME41H9E7_w2B77qChPOegM5scoF5cbAUNKa3YEROenfd7XT7D_ejqbHPOFS3LOtyYLWp9s8DeIKepel8j1HjqAYNDtVHCOcDs3BY6yCre_LeZlu6c/w480-h640/A%20card%20from%20Deb.jpg" width="480" /></a></div><div>Here are the tea bags and seeds (I already drank the tea - lol).</div><div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6FdiF8mh1afzOVd6VF9ObZvf0B26_GLbsvCCETAsbEEFubZ-X8ba15_EksL3sCVon6eFWsCcD1yu29XLBAMatCIS-RqdFVjNb--WmfpuvjDxdSfsPbupG1h6zaSoLXsGrr6Amy49U_SPXCh50TmWa8sl4MWGe3Nke6yYpBGUcW9Pk45XozdgHGJKGeGw/s2048/ATC%20goodies.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6FdiF8mh1afzOVd6VF9ObZvf0B26_GLbsvCCETAsbEEFubZ-X8ba15_EksL3sCVon6eFWsCcD1yu29XLBAMatCIS-RqdFVjNb--WmfpuvjDxdSfsPbupG1h6zaSoLXsGrr6Amy49U_SPXCh50TmWa8sl4MWGe3Nke6yYpBGUcW9Pk45XozdgHGJKGeGw/w480-h640/ATC%20goodies.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>So fun. The seeds appear to be from GA. We just got back from a week in Georgia (I will post pictures next week), and we did see lots and lots of pretty wildflowers. Thanks so much Deb - it was lovely celebrating the 10 year T-day anniversary with you in this way. Your package is much loved.</div><div><br /></div><div>I can't wait to see what everyone else is doing to celebrate the anniversary.</div><div><br /></div><div>I also have some art. The first one is a watercolor bird nest done for last week's Watercolor challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com. The tutorial was the birds nest and eggs. I decided to add a few tree trunks, some berries (from in the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com), and some leaves. My eggs got a little lopsided so I covered them with a sentiment stamp from SU! The bottom needed something darker so I stamped the branch from SU! Ornamental Pines. This one is going to my youngest daughter. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi46nT4hXBV0EZVXXoSGkHlaAvkK-G8LbYkrtrPdju2007tG1rxuhBqXCnw3zecIxRdlYu1V87vxU3KK-aniin94Ll_FuTb0mX-IRQmbQ9BfODpuZVzB3PiiOFKXCU_yuaPnvgFbhnEUlcSsjQS1uhOBAnVf56lt3VkYUcVIhJqwGPMiwdZL747OEwFRDE/s2048/bird%20nest.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1516" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi46nT4hXBV0EZVXXoSGkHlaAvkK-G8LbYkrtrPdju2007tG1rxuhBqXCnw3zecIxRdlYu1V87vxU3KK-aniin94Ll_FuTb0mX-IRQmbQ9BfODpuZVzB3PiiOFKXCU_yuaPnvgFbhnEUlcSsjQS1uhOBAnVf56lt3VkYUcVIhJqwGPMiwdZL747OEwFRDE/w474-h640/bird%20nest.jpg" width="474" /></a></div><div>This next card was made the week before. It was for a challenge to send cards to a man who has been battling some health challenges and just got out of the hospital. He loves blue (I meant to use more) and golf. I changed up the painting a bit doing different strokes, a stormier sky, etc. I also did my journaling differently and added a snip of a magazine that fell out of my journaling bible when I started this (our storms in life often lead to adventures like they did for Paul). I actually think a lot of his approach to storms when I have physical or mental storms (even tornados). <div><br /></div><div>I used Daniel Smith watercolors and white and black gel pens to do this page. </div><div><br /></div><div>I added three birds so it fits with Alison's Come Fly With Me theme at <a href="https://art-journal-journey.blogspot.com/2023/07/come-fly-with-me.html">**ART*JOURNAL*JOURNEY*. </a> The three birds represent something from one of my daughter's recent dreams - something very dear to her. </div><div><br /></div><div>Thank you for visiting! </div><div><br /></div><div>Hugz,</div><div><br /></div><div>Nancy<br /><p><br /></p></div>nwilliams6http://www.blogger.com/profile/04082601593691555155noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1727941624982128352.post-87026778580452565212023-07-04T07:04:00.000-07:002023-07-04T07:04:07.361-07:00A Flying Car, Sister Lunch, and ArtHello, Friends. Happy T-day and happy 4th if you celebrate it. <div><br /></div><div>My ticket to <a href="https://alteredbooklover.blogspot.com/2023/07/t-stands-for-time-to-fess-up.html">Elizabeth's T-day party</a> is my Saturday lunch with my Sister Sharon. We went to Jan's Beach House Cafe in Montgomery since my sister had never been there. You can see I had a really large diet coke (kept me up up that night). I also had a pick 4 veggie plate (fried green tomatoes, brocolli, turnips, and pintos), and my sister had fried catfish. It was very good.</div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVCkkrOCVDLhkEiEIRciv2N-BjzgsBMfveUB_rI4uwOuiVXoNI1LVwg6LsSFEmMAoy2QC03k3sV8vrdCGiHWIddpsyVBLDuy-6loYl_D5Qdd3_Mldogk-lwEtfJKT22TAlQW49wDwjS-79hRYmmZ2aHL8eUfk9RtLw-DygQ6VRtjQdX0dUe8kF_fKfYhw/s600/Sister%20Lunch.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="600" data-original-width="450" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVCkkrOCVDLhkEiEIRciv2N-BjzgsBMfveUB_rI4uwOuiVXoNI1LVwg6LsSFEmMAoy2QC03k3sV8vrdCGiHWIddpsyVBLDuy-6loYl_D5Qdd3_Mldogk-lwEtfJKT22TAlQW49wDwjS-79hRYmmZ2aHL8eUfk9RtLw-DygQ6VRtjQdX0dUe8kF_fKfYhw/w480-h640/Sister%20Lunch.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>Other than making a few cards and reading, that was all I did all weekend. We are resting up and saving up for our upcoming trip to Georgia. Speaking of our trip, I did the cover page to my 6x8 scrapbook I am doing for our trip. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqLi73uaGKW9jLtCOm9Rz_s0p2klu88wW5CKRoNHlrYp6WfZJJW5StdzJDDd_oT2ktkH1kJSE21ubhDy-AJVAS0GzYTg_pYyyFzlerNEHb8T8mF87EJf5KSWRANZLwFhMpYbNPoxNeZtwDZDN71o_6ZTGPDgqlJiCInjcYMY6r-8jzDsUV-NYn4t4rfrA/s720/GEORGIA%20COVER.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="720" data-original-width="523" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqLi73uaGKW9jLtCOm9Rz_s0p2klu88wW5CKRoNHlrYp6WfZJJW5StdzJDDd_oT2ktkH1kJSE21ubhDy-AJVAS0GzYTg_pYyyFzlerNEHb8T8mF87EJf5KSWRANZLwFhMpYbNPoxNeZtwDZDN71o_6ZTGPDgqlJiCInjcYMY6r-8jzDsUV-NYn4t4rfrA/w464-h640/GEORGIA%20COVER.jpg" width="464" /></a></div>It has a Harry Potter vibe because we are staying in a Harry Potter themed tiny house our first night. Some of you might think that is a bit out there, but I am super excited. I thought it would be fun to put the flying car from Happy Potter over a partial map of Georgia. Since this is a flying car, this page fits into <a href="https://art-journal-journey.blogspot.com/2023/07/come-fly-with-me.html">Alison's Come Fly With Me theme at **Art*Journal*Journey*</a>. I recycled a map I purchased at a garage sale, cutting it up and distressing it. <div><br /></div><div>This past week's cards/art include this Splitcoaststampers.com watercolor challenge card using tissue/paper towels to make rocks and waves. Some of you may have been there since it is a big attraction when driving I-65 through Alabama. The have a ton of different drinks there ranging from cokes to peach cider. I bought this awesome coffee flavoring:</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgX6H4naQfFKVmDS8NLDmkCq6oyc-4Ohw4rBeZ46RPLweTXueib9NMnBqwIukm_hgD_XhSlrz96mbJwu3JagU1T3FAko55IZEPV6rmKNag8cZeeuaVvqNqDpp9w3IjKenwZhx1vUnukxUsp_dAxf5tIDC037P7Chna7pHrQNsVqSw0FjSeCY4RQe5k27ZA/s2048/carmel%20cheese%20cake.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1202" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgX6H4naQfFKVmDS8NLDmkCq6oyc-4Ohw4rBeZ46RPLweTXueib9NMnBqwIukm_hgD_XhSlrz96mbJwu3JagU1T3FAko55IZEPV6rmKNag8cZeeuaVvqNqDpp9w3IjKenwZhx1vUnukxUsp_dAxf5tIDC037P7Chna7pHrQNsVqSw0FjSeCY4RQe5k27ZA/w376-h640/carmel%20cheese%20cake.jpg" width="376" /></a></div>I am guessing you can buy it a lot of places, but it was the first time I have seen it. That is also the theme for this House Mouse card I finished up today.<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhhWd6ZQ9d9OpVCOk4QfBnYbegFqXRkfBJsnCKcxdsQJtNOWYpSTj1OMz3TV8jb85seRiVVuCnERFsiAORCdZyjbGaRdR1LEN_JvjN-HiCcnWQeHdb535O_2yb7VU3M6AeYPjRPkckB1JhNZPhwjELR8ftk67RgNw4GpcRnKR3R81cahdENiGo9_7S2qo/s960/Fall%20yet.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="960" data-original-width="678" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhhWd6ZQ9d9OpVCOk4QfBnYbegFqXRkfBJsnCKcxdsQJtNOWYpSTj1OMz3TV8jb85seRiVVuCnERFsiAORCdZyjbGaRdR1LEN_JvjN-HiCcnWQeHdb535O_2yb7VU3M6AeYPjRPkckB1JhNZPhwjELR8ftk67RgNw4GpcRnKR3R81cahdENiGo9_7S2qo/w452-h640/Fall%20yet.jpg" width="452" /></a></div>I stamped this 2009 Turning Over a New Leaf (Monica) image on the envelope too because the current <a href="http://housemouse-challenge.blogspot.com/2023/06/hmfmc-392-june12thjune-25th-hostess.html">House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge #392 </a>theme is decorate your envelope too. Monica is colored with pencils and watercolor. <div><br /></div><div>I sure wished it was Fall on Saturday when we were watching our youngest grandson at the 6U All Star State Championship. It was very hot. His team lost in the semi-finals. We were very proud of how hard they played. Speaking of baseball, I did two pages on our two All-Stars. I am linking them up to the <a href="https://art-journal-journey.blogspot.com/2023/06/all-about-numbers.html">Numbers theme at **Art*Journal*Journey*</a>. I also used an ink pen to outline some of the numbers and to journal a little. I read both chapters on this page twice, and I finally settled on 35:16-35. These verses spoke to me because of the murder of my youngest sister. When the DA asked us if we wanted them to seek the death penalty, my Mom and I both could not support it. My Mom wanted to make sure that the guilty parties had to think about what they did for a long time, and neither of us wanted to have the killing of another on our conscious. One of the killers got life with no chance of parole and the other got life with a chance of parole (mainly because he was young). You think that life without parole would mean there would be no chance they would get out, but every few years they petition to get out for some reason or another. After 25 years, the odds they may get out at some point have increased... </div><div><br /></div><div>Reading these verses made me really think about all this. Still not sure I would change my mind about the death penalty, but when I think about what we have been through and what these words say, I would have to think and pray about it a lot more. I worry about the fact that we rationalize a lot of our decisions rather than following the Bible - at least I am guilty of it....</div><div><br /></div><div>Ok, to end this post on something fun - here is my drink ticket to <a href="https://alteredbooklover.blogspot.com/2023/06/t-stands-for-trip-to-spice-merchant.html">Elizabeth's T-day party</a>:</div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZGx_nL1f9jrt08-8WEM4kvjB50pOKBSvTdaJ1VrH7wCazn_UWGm4lZx6cO8wm-3i8h27wLfX3O-F1iXbPCUTTL6qthrUHDW4_9pyJ_ll1CzygHjkJCSSyEFaALUuShZxHy6X3TwAJHCik8RqNvJIUIuNWfJgC0y55cCUN03Lg4M11CJ2QhunM7-4Hw6E/s2048/Drink%206.2.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZGx_nL1f9jrt08-8WEM4kvjB50pOKBSvTdaJ1VrH7wCazn_UWGm4lZx6cO8wm-3i8h27wLfX3O-F1iXbPCUTTL6qthrUHDW4_9pyJ_ll1CzygHjkJCSSyEFaALUuShZxHy6X3TwAJHCik8RqNvJIUIuNWfJgC0y55cCUN03Lg4M11CJ2QhunM7-4Hw6E/w480-h640/Drink%206.2.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>It is some ice cold water with Crystal Light Blackberry Lemonade flavoring. I told my grandsons for several years that I would do a lego camp for them, and I finally did it. One of the boys attends lego camp in a neighboring city every year, but he never gets to keep or pick out what he makes . I told him I would come up with my own version where he could pick the set and keep it. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6gIUMD_iKMB0Y4vnO3bF9t-4IWkddsJ-jlBYTUoM11MiSHjxPRoX0h1c7_FzPrc_jI5aL_lY61GLUANwaDkaeuf_oNqKur5J6NDxY6CWf71r72ilYn8wnrHZG9KGQGb2AEiFQiMXEGK1i5sdmDLxSGB3RqvmK-G1Zot_NtDG22EMzVcLx6RBQf6K4/s2048/ready%20to%20start.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6gIUMD_iKMB0Y4vnO3bF9t-4IWkddsJ-jlBYTUoM11MiSHjxPRoX0h1c7_FzPrc_jI5aL_lY61GLUANwaDkaeuf_oNqKur5J6NDxY6CWf71r72ilYn8wnrHZG9KGQGb2AEiFQiMXEGK1i5sdmDLxSGB3RqvmK-G1Zot_NtDG22EMzVcLx6RBQf6K4/w480-h640/ready%20to%20start.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>Each boy got to pick their "dream set" as long as it wasn't horribly expensive plus we did one set as a race. Everyone also got their favorite snacks, plus we had camp shirts. The shirts were made by my Sister and say Reading, Reaching and Running Higher on the back because I also have a summer long reading camp (they have read 21 books so far) and a running camp (we try to get faster running from home plate to first base). I am just trying to do something fun this summer for them since we have them at the house a lot. <br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6H16hqzBMhAsXTEA6METqygjIgzC16JVisQ7266HLN8VEo-Y37cDhmI2VZEiOQ0g3nu0nuNP7BKJ4JT97Yh_ajQWhcFRyEjhF-VbOjOxPgJFpZXqhLzdQyUtB73MXCrtvYoSrdfSTNk-aGipi3R5UJ0n-Gj8Wp0OFuW6EiycYIV7b8BcqUwM1KZFr/s2048/camp%20shirts.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6H16hqzBMhAsXTEA6METqygjIgzC16JVisQ7266HLN8VEo-Y37cDhmI2VZEiOQ0g3nu0nuNP7BKJ4JT97Yh_ajQWhcFRyEjhF-VbOjOxPgJFpZXqhLzdQyUtB73MXCrtvYoSrdfSTNk-aGipi3R5UJ0n-Gj8Wp0OFuW6EiycYIV7b8BcqUwM1KZFr/w480-h640/camp%20shirts.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>They each have a little bit of their sets to finish up when they come by this week. Our house looks a bit crazy right now. <div><br /></div><div>We spent almost every night and all day Saturday at baseball games for two of my Grandsons. It was the regional tournament and both won second place in their level. This is the 6U team - they also have several 5 year olds on the team as well. Happy T-day if you celebrate it!</p><p><br /></p><p>This weekend, my youngest daughter turned 28 and she wanted to do a girls brunch. She picked <a href="https://www.kimberlias.com/">KimberLia's</a> in downtown Prattville. This is a picture of her sister's fried green tomato BLT and our waters. We also had Mimosas and coffee, but, of course, I forgot to take a picture. The jazz band they had playing was super loud and there was a party next to us of very loud people so it was hard to talk or think. The service was very slow, but the food was good. We ended up having coffee across the street just to catch up and relax. These waters are my ticket to T-day over at <a href="https://alteredbooklover.blogspot.com/2023/06/squirrels.html">Elizabeth's blog.</a> </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijZAemczSqTcq9tXMnCDjamGyduoFZkkqSfiILz22OBvRqBWsgULXlh1sQi45U-1tazTSPWfpl1XC0Vg0dYv_wIpJmaBEmYkjjP0X4BjO6YvKke_xxeBGuPftdFgHhKE7Yz8QfoquttDFZcmzqtJwy_RrrBfMaGU-YT9UULNABNpbnGy1aTuO4yjb5/s600/kimberleas.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="600" data-original-width="450" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijZAemczSqTcq9tXMnCDjamGyduoFZkkqSfiILz22OBvRqBWsgULXlh1sQi45U-1tazTSPWfpl1XC0Vg0dYv_wIpJmaBEmYkjjP0X4BjO6YvKke_xxeBGuPftdFgHhKE7Yz8QfoquttDFZcmzqtJwy_RrrBfMaGU-YT9UULNABNpbnGy1aTuO4yjb5/w480-h640/kimberleas.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>Baseball tournaments are in full swing this week - we have 1-2 games every night this week except Wednesday. Thankful to all those who fought and died for freedom around the world. War has so many costs, and we take the sacrifices for granted. Here is my card to celebrate the day.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCqLc8-jh5rLNHiab94fDkwYvNmXd5VSR6YoopC4_PJbqdg8JJjjmGa519bSORQ4Es10dSx5NuP9ljjxOHul61buSJpkZHVXchIU8Sr1AmsR-Pdw62LzGBtqRe3si8-LMkdIM4DPY5N2UyYaM0wBBUryt8yXOoky-Vwqw5g5cjkoGIIL8_VZp1qQKO/s2048/thank%20you%20for%20your%20service.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1474" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCqLc8-jh5rLNHiab94fDkwYvNmXd5VSR6YoopC4_PJbqdg8JJjjmGa519bSORQ4Es10dSx5NuP9ljjxOHul61buSJpkZHVXchIU8Sr1AmsR-Pdw62LzGBtqRe3si8-LMkdIM4DPY5N2UyYaM0wBBUryt8yXOoky-Vwqw5g5cjkoGIIL8_VZp1qQKO/w460-h640/thank%20you%20for%20your%20service.jpg" width="460" /></a></div>I made it after watching a video from <a href="https://www.youtube.com/shorts/RfIYf5nyKQA">THIS </a>YouTube spray paint artist. I watercolored the base, but then I did take some crumpled paper dipped in whte paint, blue paint and black ink and dabbed it over the watercolor. Then I sponged on some black ink. I added Stickle stars after stamping the Thank You for Your Service Stamp (new from DRS Designs). <div><br /></div><div>Continuing the military theme, a friend asked me to make a congrats card for one of his friends who has recently been promoted in the U.S. Air Force. I used the new Air Force Proud image. This card was inspired by <a href="https://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/2996885?&cat=500&ppuser=154451">THIS</a> card by Caterina who is this week's Featured Stamper on Splitcoaststampers.com. </div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgltmmaIZWPSdHHSMJGPAvUq_G43A93T1vcKXJhmyatqfajvF5RsGPAfqew7YAVdGjTB5z3STVqjiGdLuP53vd2D-8N7nIzFs7UNyo3ll0604zoZDeFfirWd5g3KVhS7MOBJvvOAjtbZELGBSjHIqG0vxsgTUF5svXs8mnQriBZ8as7DhutpHpfuRLS/s2048/air%20force.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1450" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgltmmaIZWPSdHHSMJGPAvUq_G43A93T1vcKXJhmyatqfajvF5RsGPAfqew7YAVdGjTB5z3STVqjiGdLuP53vd2D-8N7nIzFs7UNyo3ll0604zoZDeFfirWd5g3KVhS7MOBJvvOAjtbZELGBSjHIqG0vxsgTUF5svXs8mnQriBZ8as7DhutpHpfuRLS/w454-h640/air%20force.jpg" width="454" /></a></div><br /><div>Since it is late Monday, I am also including my ticket to <a href="https://alteredbooklover.blogspot.com/2023/05/t-stands-for-two-birthday-meals.html">T-day over at Elizabeth's Blog</a>. I went to lunch with some friends on Friday and ordered the blueberry lemonade at The Wharf Restaurant in Montgomery. It was very refreshing. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiidov3Fw5HNFIg5ylq06cZ65YjYG6G7exCWmVGvCbTqkKW3Cf0JfvnVvufp63cb6Ucx_KuwxEQFx6WVRK0fTIuliWvjFGEC5SCND1X9Ms9drBY7knQ0T1kgPkObSjrX_u9y6qbrnQz4nsLYxYZpvhO7Q-GkMSGlQyesIhVMudZUYiPCFqnyz7cDAwt/s2048/blueberry%20lemonade.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiidov3Fw5HNFIg5ylq06cZ65YjYG6G7exCWmVGvCbTqkKW3Cf0JfvnVvufp63cb6Ucx_KuwxEQFx6WVRK0fTIuliWvjFGEC5SCND1X9Ms9drBY7knQ0T1kgPkObSjrX_u9y6qbrnQz4nsLYxYZpvhO7Q-GkMSGlQyesIhVMudZUYiPCFqnyz7cDAwt/w480-h640/blueberry%20lemonade.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>I also had the fish tacos, but the star of the lunch was the loaded fried green tomatoes which we all shared. I didn't take a picture of them but here is one from their website. They top fried green tomatoes with feta, bacon, green onions, and a sauce. We fought over them. <div><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhW3LHeQYFqNuTFwTan6eH9Yx7Ca8_uWxfZjDr901VWtqrDfTMvoKLkAikDQSVQaum-Kb8FvxJkUXoW4WTPeGC6NyLdBgD8GLQh98rGtI7fcNTrjVGyl5TAL4_z21FENBFsy8_NAidrzUutFhLP4eTYRemMv9TKziZijlaRiAaacuVE1D9iUiu4CkAw" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="538" data-original-width="392" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhW3LHeQYFqNuTFwTan6eH9Yx7Ca8_uWxfZjDr901VWtqrDfTMvoKLkAikDQSVQaum-Kb8FvxJkUXoW4WTPeGC6NyLdBgD8GLQh98rGtI7fcNTrjVGyl5TAL4_z21FENBFsy8_NAidrzUutFhLP4eTYRemMv9TKziZijlaRiAaacuVE1D9iUiu4CkAw=w467-h640" width="467" /></a></div>I still remember how wonderful the fried tomatoes were at Joe's Stone Crab in Miami, but these loaded ones topped them and were cheaper.
