Luau Inspired Prayers

The colors on the pictures for this week's MFPSpeedyTV Inspiration Challege #74 (Luau Wedding Tables) are gorgeous: I picked the purple and green table - I love those colors together. To make my card, I used MFP's Cone flower and Lots of Words sets. I stamped the butterfly from Lots of Words on one of my panels instead of trying to find some dp to match everything. I water colored the bg using drywall tape and then water colored my image as well. I hope you will join us. If you have any questions about the challenge or how to participate, please let me know. I really love MFP stamps - the sets come with so many sentiments and are so versatile. I am happy to announce that I will be joining the MFP Senior Design Team in August. Fun times! Hugz!

Butterfly Medallion and a Lure

Had to play in the FS challenge at SCS and I cased THIS gorgeous card by Heidi. Had to use my new Lunette Butterfly by Memory Box. This card made me fall in love with my medallion stamp all over again! Also played in the Mixed Media and Teapot Tuesday Challenge with this card: Fun day playing on my kitchen counter! Hugz!

A Birthday Buck

MFP's Speedy Fox and Friends Challenge #222 is about Music. I cased THIS card by Dianne who is the Queen for the Day at SCS. I need some more masculine birthday cards. I used MFP's Plywood set and the MFP Out on the Town set to make my subtle bg on the old hymnal pages and I used my new IO deer die, the MB tall birch die, a SU! label punch and the MS branch punch. Fun challenges! Hugz!

A Pretty Lantern

Opps, woke up and still thought it was Wednesday...yes, it has been a crazy week! So I am bit late in posting this but I really love this week's MFPSpeedyTV Inspiration Challenge - it is Luau Casual Tables and the pictures are soooo fun: Here is my card: I used the MFP Lanterns and Lots of Words sets. I sure you hope you will be inspired by these pictures and come join us this week. Hugz!

A Bee!

This week's Squigglefly Challenge is round cards. I adore round easel cards! I used the Busy Bee image from Bonita Jones . Bee images are so popular right now and this one is so versatile. I sponged some TH Distress ink on a Crafter's Workshop stencil. Then I sponged on some watercolor paint as well. Added a really fun button I have been hoarding for awhile and a bit of ribbon. Can't wait to give this one away!!! Come join in the challenge. I you need a Squigglefly image, there are lots of free ones in the store. Hugz!

Some Dolphins, flowers, and some trees

Got lots of playtime the last few days so I did a few more pages in Allie's Freshmen scrapbook and did a couple of SCS challenges. For Case File #131 at CSI: Allie's pictures with a dolphin were just too fun to scrap. For evidence, I used brads, asterisks (made with staples), wet medium (stickles applied using a water drop stencil), animal accents. The testimony was journaling using dialogue and journaling about an outdoor activity. I used the colors in the challenge and the sketch but I twisted the sketch up a bit. The Inspiration Challenge on SCS this week involves the Country Curtains site and here is my card inspired by some Swiss Dot Curtains: Also on SCS I played in the Mixed Media challenge which is about patches/scraps/patchwork. I used some leftover burlap and some scraps from a recent project to make a fun little tree. I know it isn't really patchwork but it is close as I cut a bunch of little circles of fabric and twisted them up and glued them down.

Luau Take Out

This week's MFPSpeedyTV Inspiration Challenge (#72)is Food for the Luau - yum, yum! I went with the colors and shapes in picture #1 and #2: I used the new MFP set called Chinese Take Out and my sentiment is from the MFP Glad Glads set. I see all kinds of cards in my future with this Chinese take out set - I love those fortune cookies and the box and sticks are so fun! There are all kinds of possibilities with these challenge pictures - cards with toothpicks (drop by and see Shirley's toothpick card), fruit, colors, shapes, watermelon inspired cards - I could make another 20 cards! Come join us. Hugz!

A Fun Little Window

This week's MFPSpeedyTV Inspiration Challenge has some super fun pictures: This is my card: I used MFP's Lanterns , Pretty Pears (flowers), and Glad Glads (sentiment). Hope you will come join us and show us how these fun pictures inspired you! I also put this in the WT487 challenge on SCS which is to use at least three different textures on your card and I have used fabric texture in the bg paper, embossing on the window box and window, smooth texture on the card base, and rough/ridged texture on the sprigs in my flower box. Hugz!

A Scrappy Card

The Squigglefly challenge this week is to make a card using scraps - how fun is that! I decided I would make a card made entirely from scraps - the base and every single other part of it. No coloring and no embellishments. I used Dizzy Gal by Sandra Caldwell. This was so fun, I made another card with scraps too (this image is by James Horvath and is called Cow Fisherman ): Squigglefly added three new artists this month: Norma Burnell, Tam Hess, and Angela Charles. Check out their images - you will love their styles! Hope you will join us in the challenge and use up some of your scraps. Hugz!

A Gem-filled Heart, Some Flowers, A Haunted Train, and Carrot Cake Cupcakes

Hope your weekend was relaxing and fun. With the extra time off, I was able to get a few extra cards made so I had a great weekend! The Haunted Design House challenge this time is inspired by some ethereal photos and they inspired me to make this card: The Inspiration Challenge at SCS was a Pinterest board and it was full of fun button creations. I made two cards based on THIS and THIS picture: The Featured Stamper at SCS is nancyt and she has a darling gallery. I made two cards for that challenge as well based on THIS card and THIS card: Hugz!

Sunrises and Sunsets!

This morning, I woke up and looked outside my kitchen window. I got a big surprise - the sky knew it was the Fourth of July! And every day must come to an end so I did a card showing the sunset somewhere cold - the opposite of what it is here in Alabama! This week there were a lot of challenges with the Sun so I am participating in several of them with this fun little Sassy Cheryl image called Jump, Snowman, Jump (available at Squigglefly). Challenges: Squigglefly - Let the Sunshine In Splitcoast Stampers - Queen for the Day - I cased THIS card by mr33634 Splitcoast Stampers CAS Challenge #279 Sunsets Pile It On #26 - Outdoor Fun Addicted to CAS - Sun Christmas Card Challenge #31 - Anything Goes Hugz!

A Baby Carriage

Oh my, did I have fun with this week's MFPSpeedyTV Inspiration Challenge ! Here are the fun inspiration pics that Shirley picked out: That watermelon picture spoke to me right away and I knew exactly what image would look so cute done up as a watermelon. Wouldn't it be fun to have a baby carriage like this? I used the MFP Bundle of Joy set and water colored my image. I tried to capture the wood from the inspiration picture in the bg paper I used. Not your typical baby card bg but I have a friend who just had a baby boy and I know she is going to love this! Come join in the fun! Hugz!
