Some Trees, Feathers, and Fun Colors

I had some time to play in some SCS challenges this weekend and these are the cards I made: Hope your weekend was wonderful!!! Hugz!

A Cute Little Owl

This week's Squigglefly challenge is to use a die or embossing - super easy to help with the rush of the holidays. I used a fun new set by Cheryl Grant Alger called Warm and Cozy . The set has 2 sentiments (I used one), a mug of hot chocolate full of marshmallows, the fun hat I used, and this adorable owl. I embossed my bg snowflake paper out of my stash, colored up my owl with some SU! alcohol markers, and added some Snowtex. Cute, cute, cute! Come join in the fun - there are so many great new (and old) images in the Squigglefly shop. I have 20 of them on my current wish list!! I am also entering this in the: Clean and Simple Challenge on Splitcoast Stampers which is to use music on your card (my bg paper has music done in kraft on it - you have to look closely) Anything Goes Christmas/Holidays at Pile it On Moving Along with the Times - Christmas Climate Jingle Belles - ATG Christmas Hugz!!!

Some Trees!

This weekend I was in a tree mood (thanks to you Angie). For the SCS Inspiration Challenge, I made a fun pink poinsettia tree ( THIS was my inspiration). I used my new ODBD poinsettia die and a sentiment from the Christmas Verse set (I love this die btw). I am entering this in the current Christmas challenge at ODBD. I also cased a beautiful card by Sara who was the Featured Stamper at SCS ( THIS is the card I cased). I so want to do a sky like she did soon - I opted to do my trees colorful instead. Lovely as a Tree is one of my favorite SU! sets. Hugz!!!

A Wreath, Snow, and some Flowers

In Alabama, they are breaking up the hunting season. You get to hunt for a few weeks, then you stop, then you start again - I think that happens 3 times. Hubby was gone all weekend and I am not a big Black Friday shopper so I got to play on the kitchen counter! My favorite card I made was for the Inspiration Challenge on SCS. The site was Sur La Table and I cased THIS lovely wreath. I used my fav MFP stamp set - Create with Pine Boughs, plus a MS leaf and branch punch. I stole more stuff off of one of hubby's flower arrangements too (he told someone the other day that I use to do this but he has no clue that I still do - LOL!). I made the wood look bg by taking a piece of old SU! dp (it was green with red flowers - seriously) - and I ran it through the SU! wood ef, then drug my SU! chocolate chip stamp pad across it, then I took some MS White Metal Primer and dipped a paper towel in it and drug it down the paper in straight lines - I love how it came out and the paper tota
