A Dilly Beans Easter



I am a huge fan of Dilly Beans images - they are so playful and fun. This week's Dilly Beans challenge is Easter so I made my last two Easter cards with Dilly Beans images.

For the first one, I used this card by this week's Queen for the Day (Sharon aka SMadson, QFTD158) as my inspiration. I used her basic layout, used a lot of purple, and used a floral background. I cropped the Dilly Beans' image Amalia and Laylah #403 down to just Amalia's head and framed her for the first card. I overdid the liquid pearls a bit, but I like the outcome. On the next card, I openned up an arrow shape in Word and dropped in a bunny image that Megan gave away free on the store blog a couple of years ago. Inside it says: "lOvEs yOu! ME, ME, ME, ME, ME!!!!! The challenge runs until Thursday night.

Today represents a very magical moment in the Universe - one I sink to my knees in grattitude for because I need this gift desperately! After I finish cooking my turkeys and making a giant pan of macaroni and cheese, we are off to my Sister Sharon's to watch all the little ones hunt for eggs and catch up on family news.     Oh how CUTE! I'd never heard of Dilly Beans images but they're darling! I love how you put the image into the arrow! I need a tutorial on that cool trick!!

    These cards are both adorable! I love them both...can't pick a favorite! Love the flowery paper on the first, and I LOVE the bunny in the arrow on the second.     2 very, very cute cards! Love them both but especially the bunny on the arrow shape - genius!! Going to have to 'borrow' that fantastic idea :)

    That bunny image is soooo cute!! Two wonderful cards. Enjoy your big egg hunt (heck I still enjoy them LOL!). He has risen indeed!!!

    Your first card is beautiful, Nancy, and the Dilly Beans with the arrow sporting the bunny is too, too cute. Hope your Easter with family was wonderful.

A Bit of Tea, Horses, and a Cowboy

 I love when my children follow in my footsteps and beyond (only the cool footsteps, of course).   My daughter, Allie, has developed a love of tea.  She sent me this picture over the weekend of her having tea in her newly remodelled bedroom.   She was drinking Breakfast in Paris tea in one of her favorite thrift store mugs.  This is my ticket to the T-day gathering over at Elizabeth's blog .  To join us, all you have to do is have a drink related post (can be any type of drink).   The neighborhood horses have been gathering in our backyard for some reason. Our horse refuses to come up near our house because the lady who owns all these horses gives her much better treats.  They all jump the fences and visit everyone.  The mule in the picture is actually named after me because I named one of cows after the neighbor (he paid me back - lol). I gave them apples when they came on Sunday, and they have come back every day since - lol....
