In Alabama, the weather has been a bit cooler giving us a little hint of Fall - I have so enjoyed it. Now if the Summer bugz could go away, I would be thrilled!
The new Squigglefly challenge is to use Twine, Ribbon, or Floss on your creation. There are many new images this month in the Squigglefly store and all of them are super fun. I used two of them for this challenge. My first card is made using an image from one of my very favorite artists, Dawn Collins, called Say Cheese. Dawn is a wonderful artist, a super creative card maker/designer, and she has a fun new business repurposing old furniture and other finds. I love her great sense of humor and style.
Inside this one says, "And in your case they were right on the money!" I used baker's twine from SU! to wrap around the first layer and to make the little bow
On my second card, I used an image by Judith Hart called Retro Flower.
I used a scrap of ribbon under my flowers in the bottom right and also a little canvus banner at the top I got at Mike's for 99 cents a few weeks ago.
Grab some ribbon, twine, cord, or floss plus one of the zillions of Squigglefly images and come join in the challenge this week.
Before I go, I thought I would share with you some of Beautiful Fall and Christmas Squigglefly images on my Wish List right now:
Chris Kringle by Marla Shega- this one looks sooo real!
Birth of a King by Cheryl Grant - this one has the snowmen as the shepherds in the field when Christ was born
Catching Snow by Cheryl Grant - this snowman has such an adorable personality
Holiday Bells by Marla Shega - these are some of the most decorative Christmas Bells I have seen
Pleased as Punch by Cheryl Grant - this elf looks like he or she has done something praiseworthy for sure!
Waiting for Santa - by Lynne Stansbery - such a sweet scene and it captures the child in all of us as we wait for the big day
Hugz!!!

Both cards are wonderful Nancy! Love the mouse and the sentiment is perfect and very clever!
ReplyDeleteBoth of these are so cute. Love your sentiment on the mouse one.
ReplyDeleteTwo great cards, Nancy. Yes, I think we were both thinking of 'forever friends' this week. Your little mouse is too cute and so is the sentiment. Well, I'm thinking the weather has gone completely bonkers. This should be the hottest month and here we are in the 70's and low 80's. I don't think we got out of the high 70's Saturday. Where is the 100 degree weather? Oh, I know you don't want it. :-)
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are fabulous Nancy, loving the mouse with his cheese and the embossing and flowers on the second card.

Two wonderful cards, Nancy. Love the sentiment about the cheese - hopefully I'm aging well LOL! We have had a stellar summer here - best I can remember in years - but the days are getting shorter and once the temps dip a bit it will definitely feel like fall. Two weeks till school starts so lots to get done by then too!
ReplyDeleteNancy,
ReplyDeleteTwo very wonderful cards - the first made me smile - cute little mouse! And, your second card is lovely and elegtant and such pretty colors.
Two lovely cards!
ReplyDeleteNancy - in love with that cute mouse image and saying!!
ReplyDeleteThese cards are both really fun! I especially love the embossing on the cheese themed card :)
ReplyDeleteBest crafty wishes!

I really love both of your cards. The first one has such a wonderful sentiment! I like how both of them kind of have the same layout, but the subtle change of the dies and embossing change it up completely! The colors in your second card are lovely! Great job Nancy!
ReplyDeletegorgeous cards nancy.i love your fun cheese card and your floral card is beautiful :D

Well you know I'm going to love the first one !!! Thanks so much for the very kind shout out and I really do love what you did with my cheese mouse :) The embossing is genius as is your sentiment (should have thought of that one to go with it!)
ReplyDeleteThe flower card is great too - love the simplicity of the flower stamp contrasting with the gorgeous floral/ribbon embellishment :)
