Some Calorie-Free Candy

Valentines is just around the corner so I am excited the challenge at Pattie's Creations is to use in your imageand I could get another Valentine's Card done.

I used Pattie's Heart Candy Box image and tried to add elements that could give the feel of a candy box like gold and ribbon. My supplies: dies - Spellbinders(frame and leaves), Sizzix (corners) and MFT (rolled roses); papers - SU!, Recollections, The Paper Studio; ribbon - SU!; and the gems are The Paper Studio.

Come join in the fun for the next two weeks - how easy is challenge where there guidelines are to use red!

Hugz!

  6. What a wonderful welcome from you, to the team. Thanks so much for that and your sweet comment on my card. As far as your own goes, it is simply stunning. Definitely looks like a candy box to me. Those gold leaves and paper flowers are just beautiful and the paper choices and colours are great too. Great die cuts and a pretty bow seal the deal for a fabulous creation!

I've loved coming over and visiting you in the past to see all your entries into the Path of Positivity challenge (which you should add this card to as the theme this month is Love) and now I get the privilege of being on a team with you. YaY!

Some Penguins

Today kicks off the newest Pattie's Creations Challenge which is Tags . Just Tags. No cards with Tags on or in them - just tags. I love to make just tags so this one was right up my alley. I used the super cute Penguin image from Pattie's Creations, but I couldn't stop at just one so I made a little penguin family. My tag is made from an old cardboard box top which I peeled down, painted, distressed a bit, and then added some snow medium. My bow is actually a new bow designed by Pamela Lehto (available at Squigglefly tomorrow). Please join us in the Pattie's Creations Tag Challenge - there are lovely DT tags for inspiration and Pattie gives away wonderful prizes! Hugz!
It's time for the New Release Blog Hop at Dude Time Doodles ! I am thrilled to show off Elmer Elf - just one of the four new images. I love them all and plan to make Christmas cards with every single one of them. Be sure and pick them up soon in the store if you like them because all the Dude Time Doodles Images will be retiring in the next few weeks - sniff, sniff! If you came to my blog from Sharon's amazing blog you can continue on to Mags who has another wonderful creation to show you. Dude Time Doodles blog hops are easy as you can hop on at any point and just continue around. Be sure and leave comments because one of the DT members is the mystery host/hostess and one of the commenters on their blog will win free images from the store. Hugz!!

A Bit of Tea, Horses, and a Cowboy

I love when my children follow in my footsteps and beyond (only the cool footsteps, of course).   My daughter, Allie, has developed a love of tea.  She sent me this picture over the weekend of her having tea in her newly remodelled bedroom.   She was drinking Breakfast in Paris tea in one of her favorite thrift store mugs.  This is my ticket to the T-day gathering over at Elizabeth's blog .  To join us, all you have to do is have a drink related post (can be any type of drink).   The neighborhood horses have been gathering in our backyard for some reason. Our horse refuses to come up near our house because the lady who owns all these horses gives her much better treats.  They all jump the fences and visit everyone.  The mule in the picture is actually named after me because I named one of cows after the neighbor (he paid me back - lol). I gave them apples when they came on Sunday, and they have come back every day since - lol....
