A Happy Card

The MFPSpeedyTV Inspiration Challenge (Challenge #57) pictures are so GORGEOUS this week!



I would love to know where these places are so I could go visit! Wow!!! Here is my card:

I used the MFP Medallion Set. I mixed heat and stick powder with ultra fine glitter (a complete accident by the way - LOL) for the embossing and then sprayed my paper with Luminarte's Radiant Rain Shimmer Mist in Snapdragon. The sentiments with this set are super sweet so I just made the largest one into a banner. I gifted this to a friend yesterday (along with chocolate) and she smiled all day!

More on this sentiment: I think this sentiment is really spot on. I believe our thoughts control our health, the joy we experience in life, our relationships with others, the quality of work we do, our dreams (nightly and of the future), and even our weight. Studies show that gratefulness can increase your life (HERE is one link to a study on this). I think happy thoughts can do the same. What are your thoughts on this? Oh and HERE is a link to my favorite song which ties into this whole discussion.

Hope you will be inspired to come play too.     Oh am I the first to post a comment!!! How fun would that be since I have been missing in action for so long. Geez-I owe you an email girlfriend. This card is just super gorgeous. I love that color and don't you just love those misting bottles!!! I love the doily image. It speaks to me. I have just been working with doilies and doily stamps myself recently. Love you....and miss you bunches!!!

    Your mistake came out beautiful. Isn't it nice that we are such great inventors? LOL. I really like that big bold sentiment and, yes, I completely agree with everything you said about our thoughts. I truly believe that if you have positive, happy thoughts, you will most likely have the same type of life, at least it works for me. Have a fabulous day. Out temps are going up into the 50's today. The last of our snow seems to be melted away. Soon we can get to planting things in the gardens which is always a great thing.

    Very pretty card, Nancy. Chocolates and a pretty card would make a person smile all day.
    I checked out the video and that was really what seemed to be a happy bunch of dancers.

    This is a beautiful card Nancy, I love your glittered medallion and gorgeous rich colour. I have to agree with your sentiment and comments - there is no point in dwelling on unhappy things or thoughts.

    A beautiful card and the purple is so pretty with the medallion. Oh, gosh, now I am thinking chocolate. Ummm-yummy. Okay,

A Bit of Tea, Horses, and a Cowboy

 I love when my children follow in my footsteps and beyond (only the cool footsteps, of course).   My daughter, Allie, has developed a love of tea.  She sent me this picture over the weekend of her having tea in her newly remodelled bedroom.   She was drinking Breakfast in Paris tea in one of her favorite thrift store mugs.  This is my ticket to the T-day gathering over at Elizabeth's blog .  To join us, all you have to do is have a drink related post (can be any type of drink).   The neighborhood horses have been gathering in our backyard for some reason. Our horse refuses to come up near our house because the lady who owns all these horses gives her much better treats.  They all jump the fences and visit everyone.  The mule in the picture is actually named after me because I named one of cows after the neighbor (he paid me back - lol). I gave them apples when they came on Sunday, and they have come back every day since - lol....
