Hello friends. I am still around in blog land and have a new post today. It is all about wreaths. I have been on a wreath kick in my card making and thought I would share some that I have made this past week(s).
This card was made last week using the DRS Designs 4-in-1 Harvest Designs image. It has 4 smaller images (flowers, nuts, leaves, and a pumpkin). I added a few Holiday Greens die cuts behind the wreath to give it more depth, and I did my fave ink/spray/smash background. The sentiment is the 1 line Happy Thanksgiving sentiment from DRS Designs.
On this next wreath, I stamped the DRS Designs Potted Berry Tree image a bunch of times and let my Grandsons color them with their fingers. When they were done, I fussy cut the trees, added some Stickles to some of the berries and then sprinkled it all with gold micro beads. The sentiment is the Christmas Especially to You Greeting (my favorite one).
The next wreath is made with the leaves from the Harvest Designs stamp I used on the first wreath above. I colored up the leaves with Lemon ink from CTMH and Vintage Photo Distress ink (I used my fingers). My three year old Grandson sponged a plaid stencil to make my background (I taped it down really good). The embossing folder on my "door" is from SU! The inside of the wreath is the Thanks Be to God stamp which I plan to use in my Bible Art Journaling.
One last wreath to share. The leaves are from the same Harvest Designs stamp and the Merry Christmas Especially To You Greeting used in some of the cards above. I also used the same EF as the card above. This time I colored everything with a mossy green, added some die cut stars which I sparkled up with silver Stickles, and then flecked on some SnowTex for a snowy feel.
I loved making these wreaths. They put my in a holiday spirit and all that fussing cutting helped to relieve some stress. I did it all while watching Halmark Christmas movies.
