A Brew, Birthday Party Snacks, My Great Grannie's Belt Buckle, and Some More ATCs!

It is Tuesday and time for a drink inspired post along with the T-day gang at Elizabeth's blog.  I have a fun drink related card to share.

DRS Designs came out with this fun new Brew'tiful Day Greeting this week, and I couldn't resist playing with it.  Happy T-day to all of you!

I did a lot of overtime this past week but did get a few fun things fit in such as my middle grandson's 6th Birthday party.  It was lego themed so we decided to do a lego charcuterie tray and include things for the kids and the adults.  I did a fun video for Tik Tok but no pictures of the full board....I did get two pictures of part of the board.   Here you can see the Cajun Crab dip, the Havarti and the Chipolti Cheddar along with some of the fun sweets and lego pieces.
Here you can see the turkey pepperoni (my family loves it) and the orange peel and cranberry goat cheese along with some other fun goodies.

I also fit in another art journal page for Wendy's Vintage theme at Art Journal Journey.  This one has an old vintage belt buckle from my Great Grandmother's sewing basket.
The watercolor stripes were inspired by the Peruvian Connection which was the inspiration sitee for the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers this weekend.  I picked THESE great striped sheets.  The people are all TH Dolls and the words are Tim's as well.

Before I go, I wanted to share some of the ATCs I made and received for Elizabeth's 8 year anniversary of T-day celebration.  I shared a few of these already but not sure which ones so here they all are again. I got all mixed up on who to send ATCs to and ended up sending and receiving them from 3 of our fun T-day gang: Dagar, Mia, and CJ. I got the ATC bug after this and have joined in a number of fun swaps.  All thanks to Elizabeth.

I made this one with playing card, tissue, and an embossing folder.  The words are drink related and I have a 8 brad and an 8 tucked in under the left lady's arm.
This one was also made with an embossing folder and a card and was done a Number 8 playing card.  This one went to Mia.
This is what Mia sent me.  So fun!  We should all be us bravely!!!!
This is what I received from CJ - she really had fun with the 8 theme and her lovely kitties!
Dagmar drew some fun drinks and sent a fab card with one of her art pieces.
Here is the last ATC I made - I used Stamperia paper, some embossing, a bit of texture paste to make the 8.
If you are still with me after this long post, I hope you are having a wonderful week!

Hugz,

Nancy

  10. I can't believe how much you put into that Lego inspired birthday party for your GS. It must have been quite a big success, too.

LOVE that vintage journal page you created for Wendy's theme at Art Journal Journey. Those must be new paper dolls, because I haven't seen them and I have two sets. Those are great looking sheets, too. Very chic.

So glad you caught the ATC bug. Maybe we should have an ATC swap in the future. All of yours are beautiful. I love how you positioned the lady on the 8, too.

And of course, I fell in love with that card you created to share with us for T. Thanks for sharing the Lego party, the journal page, the various ATCs, and the lovely brew card with us for T this Tuesday, dear Nancy.

Your ATCs are wonderful. You certainly have got the bug! They are such fun to do (and to exchange and to collect).
I'm sorry to be late again, but as I've mentioned before, we are not home on a Tuesday and I can't get to my computer.

Forest Goodies and Other Projects

Hello Crafty Friends. I just got the Stamperia Forest Paper and Die Cuts in the mail so I had to play with them right away.   I have a combo creation - journal page and card.  On the journal page I used my 6x6 Dina Wakley Journal and laid a base of gesso.  I then used Dina's pastel crayons and some SU! inks and stamps.  Also added in some TH Dress Ink in Vintage Photo since I don't know how to make anything without it  (seriously).   The eagle is a Stamperia Forest die cut and is coated with gesso.  Did a bit of stenciling and distressing to finish the page off.  I am linking this the the **Art*Journal*Journey* September Texture Theme (last day - can't wait to see what October's Theme will be).  The die cut and the little smears add texture to the already very textured page.   I love the blue and green together and was inspired to made a quick card for my Son-in-law who cut down some tree limbs for us the other day.  The paper in the middle is from the Stamperia Forest

Brotherhood Wishes, a Paper Purse, and a Special Mug

Hello friends. No more fun travel or parade pictures - back to every day normal life.  On a positive note, I have been able to fit in some art. Hereis an art journal spread I finished this weekend. I am adding it to Alison's Summer Landscape challenge theme at **Art*Journal*Journey* .   I started the pages in my journal around July 4th after seeing Dina's stripes inspired Mixed Media challenge on Splitcoaststampers.com and got as far as stamping some foliage at the bottom.  I was stuck after that, and I wasn't sure where to go with it next.  A few days later, I was clearing out some things in the craft room and ran across a Thomas Kinkade book I cut up and use in my Bible Journaling.  There was a picture of  the San Francisco Bridge and another of some mountains so I tore them out and added them to my page with Gesso representing some of the beautiful things in America and also Alison's countryside theme.  They did not blend in very well and I needed to alter them to wo

A Martini, Peanut Butter Cupakes, and Art

Hello Friends. Today, I have an ecletic mix of drinks, dessert, and art. First, it's T-day somewhere in the world so time for a drink post which I am linking to Elizabeth's Blog - Altered Book Lover.  Last week we had a work related dinner.  When the waitress asked what I wanted to drink, I had a sudden craving for a martini.  I use to love them, but I guess my tastes have changed because I wasn't a fan.  I was a fan of the chips and dips though! And the day before, I brought my Sister's fabulous peanut butter cupcakes.  Mainly because I was craving them and couldn't ask her to make just one..... Over at **Art*Journal*Journey* Elle picked a theme of Books, Cats, and Tea (you can pick one, two or three of the items).  I did a Bible Journal Page in my Journaling Bible - Luke 13:24-25.  After a layer of Gesso, I took a Sharpie pen and drew the kitty, then the narrow door, and then colored the door with Arteza Brush pens. The verse was written with a Micron pen.  This
