Hello Friends!
On our way back from the 8U State Youth Baseball Championship on Saturday (we lost to the State Champions which is an accomplishment in itself and it was a super fun game), we stopped into Peach Park. Some of you may have been there since it is a big attraction when driving I-65 through Alabama. The have a ton of different drinks there ranging from cokes to peach cider. I bought this awesome coffee flavoring:
Here are some more drinks they have available - I really considered the peach cider....
The sell tons of peaches, peach pies, peach cobler, peach bread, peach ice cream (hubby had some) and every other type of peaches you can think of, plus they have a fabulous cafe. They had live music on Saturday and the singer was very good. They were selling the peaches faster than they could unload them.
Some art for the week. For my first card, I cased THIS card by Anna Marie who was the Featured Stamper at Splitcoaststampers.com. If you are a Trekkie or a scottie lover you will like this one. The Scottie is from Stamping Up and the die is from Close to My Heart.
Also the watercolor challenge for the week was Atmospheric Landscapes using THIS tutorial. The minute she said the branch looked like a hand, I was thinking Halloween....the graveyard, bats, branch and sentiment are all from DRS Designs.

Hi Nancy. I hope you get to taste the peach cider one day. I tried some in Charleston and it didn’t have a lot of flavor, but I love the idea of a peach flavored cider. Too bad your grandsons team lost, but it is a big deal to get that far. It’s exciting. And your art is really fun this week. It isn’t too long before I’ll be thinking about fall and Halloween art. When i was little my Grandparents took me to a place in GA that had a GIANT peach like up on a pole or something... I've never seen it again so i can't tell you where it was.... but i'd love to know.. Have you? Happy T day! Hugs! deb
ReplyDeleteVery nice cards. What a lovely place to visit. I do love peach in my drinks. Sorry aobut the loss, but that is how kids learn to be good sports, and good people. Next year maybe.
