Some Hugs and a Few 'Flies

Can you ever have enough "I am thinking of you" cards? I love this sentiment stamp from SU! Makes me feel warm inside every time I see it. All my supplies are SU! other than the Sizzix tag die and Walmart wired ribbon leftover from Christmas.

Wow moving from a laptop to a desktop really magnifies the flaws in my cards and photography!

Hope you are all having a wonderful week - there is a chance of a few snow flakes here in Middle Alabama. That is a rare occasion so everyone is either excited or freaking out (even me - LOL - I just don't know which one to do). A few days ago it was in the 70s so we are a mixed up bunch.

Hugz!

  2. Just glad you're getting to upload this pretty card, Nancy. You've had too much puter trouble. You better not get snow and the people in North AL be left out. I don't think I'll see a flake...just more rain. We've had 13 inches and maybe a little more since the middle of December. We're close to needing an ark. I'll be checking the windows for a flake to fall. LOL

  3. Wonderful card. Love the argyle background. Glad you've got a computer to use, even if it's a desktop :-). I hope the snow waits till I get back to AL before starting - hate driving in it

  8. My kitchen is the heart of my home. This is where my family gathers. It lives with my kids running around fighting for the last cookie! I want it stylish because we spend so much time here. Getting Quartz Kitchen Countertop was the cherry on the cake. I love it!

  9. What flaws? I don't see them! I had some of this paper, I think. It's Stamping Up, right? Love the cluster of butterflies. :)

  10. Bust me up girl....what are you talking about "flaws"???? Your cards do not look any different to me. We are most critical of ourselves sometimes to the point of taking away are creativity!!! Make what you love, love what you make. This is so pretty. I love that paper and the embossed butterflies are perfect.

Language Plays, Billiard Balls, and Some "Interesting" Wine

I always look forward to the new **Art*Journal*Journey* Theme each month. The May theme was chosen by Elle and she chose Language as the theme. So many cool things you can do with that theme.  This weekend I chose to do the Language(s) of God in my Journaling Bible.  When I started, I was going to do Fasting as a way of speaking to God but after listening to a Sermon on Fasting, I realized that was more complicated and I would have to study it more first. So I switched gears midstream and just did some of ways that God speaks to us and vice versa.  There are many more, but I put the ones I could think of quickly here.   The papers are from an old hymnal and Close to My Heart (CTMH).  The gnome is CTMH as well.  Now I have played with all the gnomes in the set,and I totally love them. While looking for the hymnal paper, I ran across an old song book that I was saving.  It was damaged so I knew it would have to be recycled into something....

Stamps, Books, Found Relatives, and More Food

Don't you love getting new stuff?  This is my fun new stuff from  Red Lead Paperworks .   I ordered the fun vintage looking deer stamp and the three Christmas greetings - all were on sale a few weeks ago.  I love getting their packages because they always send some extra little goodies like collage sheets and old tickets plus even their packaging is cute and reusable.  The sheet with the leaves and acorns on the bottom is the other side of the invoice so you can reuse it as well.  I can't wait to play with these fun goodies.  Here is a look at my current reading pile.  I checked Basil's War by Stephen Hunter from the library, my daughter lent me The Paper Palace, and I bought The Host, Going Back to Petrey, and The Lady in Blue from the Thrift Store. I am reading Basil's War and The Lady in Blue at the same time - something I really shouldn't do especially since both books are the kind that switch between stories every chapter.  Th...

Some Penguins

Today kicks off the newest Pattie's Creations Challenge which is Tags . Just Tags. No cards with Tags on or in them - just tags. I love to make just tags so this one was right up my alley. I used the super cute Penguin image from Pattie's Creations, but I couldn't stop at just one so I made a little penguin family. My tag is made from an old cardboard box top which I peeled down, painted, distressed a bit, and then added some snow medium. My bow is actually a new bow designed by Pamela Lehto (available at Squigglefly tomorrow). Please join us in the Pattie's Creations Tag Challenge - there are lovely DT tags for inspiration and Pattie gives away wonderful prizes! Hugz!
