It has been storming this week, and it looks like we will have more storms today. I am not complaining though - I love the rain and the cooler temperatures - plus I know there are a lot of people in the world today that would be cheering if it was raining. I still have sun. Do you see it on my card in the upper left corner and in the shape of my frame around my Sassy Cheryl Better Than A Thousand Words image. I made this card for two challenges:
Sassy Cheryl - Bling in the Sun (challenge ends tonight so hurry if you want to enter too)
The Featured Stamper FS332 Challenge on SCS - Sue Kment was the stamper (two weeks ago but better late than never)
Sue has a wonderful SCS gallery and a wonderful blog - you can visit her HERE if you are interested in checking out some really special creations. HERE is the card I cased.
Storms always affect animals in very interesting ways. My parent's dog hides in a closet when it starts to thunder and refuses to go out in the rain. One of my Pattie's Creations DT buddies, Kelly, has a lab that tries to get in her lap. After all these storms, I thought it would be fun to use this great Fawn Palmer image called A Lap Dog. I made this card for the Featured Stamper challenge FS333 on SCS where Tinahale38 was the Featured Stampers. I cased THIS card of Tina's.
Hope you weekend has been wonderful! Hugz!

Thanksf or my morning laugh with the second card's image!! Too fun :) Darling cards. Think we got your heat - abnormally hot and humid here today (30C with is in the low 90's) and we are not used to that! To the beach we go!
ReplyDeleteboth so gorgeous.your images are fabulous and I love your stunning designs and colours :D
ReplyDeletexx coops xx
Both cards are absolutely terrific but my heart goes to Thunder Dog! You don't even want to know what I go through with one of my girls, its nightmare time!
ReplyDeleteOh! How fun is this! What a great idea to use this spellbinders shape for a sun! I love it!
ReplyDeleteLove the softness of the background paper! Sweet coloring too!
Thanks for playing along in our Sassy Cheryl challenge this week!

I see that pretty sunshine. Thankfully, we've had a beautiful weekend. Worked in the yard and almost killed myself. I love that sweet image. That dog card reminds me of our wonderful dog that is now gone. He hated fireworks, Halloween, and thunder. He would run upstairs to the master bedroom closet and hide. Love both your creations.
ReplyDeleteThese are both such fabulous cards! LOVE the coloring and the sentiments are just perfect!
ReplyDeleteThanks for playing along in the Bling in the Sun challenge this week with the Sassy gals this week.
How cute. I thought the first card was just precious and the second card was so funny. My mother hides in a closet during storms!!! lol Nice to see you delightful cards and get a good chuckle.
ReplyDeleteBear Hugs,
Carol
More fabulous creations! Love the soft yellows of the first one and the second one made me laugh. Love the added lightening bolt. I was out of town this past week so I missed all the storms (and my dog in my lap).
ReplyDeleteWouldn't be able to choose my fave between these two great cards! Lovely cute image and gorgeous yellow frame make me love the first one and the second is just too funny! I babysat a Great Dane once and it was like looking after a horse!!
ReplyDeleteOh, my goodness...two wonderful creations! Love them both! I'm so glad you joined us this week for the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge.
ReplyDeleteGreat cards Nancy! I had to chuckle at the "Is That Thunder?" sentiment you added to the lap dog card.
