I had some time to play yesterday (until we went to the medical clinic to resolve Hubby's Pink Eye anyway). Here are some of the cards I did:
This one is a case of the very talented Pat Smethers (Blooms in a Box on SCS). I cased THIS card by Pat. I needed a very good Sympathy card for a friend at work who just lost her husband. Sad and heart-wrenching! My image is SU! Lovely as a Tree and I used some old hymnal pages as my dp.
Then I checked out the Mix-ability Challenge on SCS which is to drip a medium in some way. That sounded like fun so I did these three cards (I saw something like the coffee card on Pinterest and the other two are made with the SU!Inspired by Nature stamp - I just dropped SU!Reinker dye directly on the images):
Then I cased the Featured Stamper at SCS - LuvLee - I cased THIS card using the Small Talk image by Cheryl Alger (available at Squigglefly):
Lastly, I had time to do the Teapot Tuesday Challenge at SCS which has the teapotters (hope I can still call myself one since I haven't participated in ages) sending baseball cards to Jason who is recovering from a very difficult surgery. I used another Cheryl Alger image called Play Hard or Go Home - Noah which is now available at Squigglefly.
Hugz!

Gorgeous cards as always Nancy. The first one is so beautiful, I wish I could put flowers together like that! Michelle x
ReplyDeleteOh my, I just adore the sympathy card dear! I hadn't thought about using an old hymnal - now to find one!!! And I too love your ability to place and gather flowers together!
ReplyDeleteYou made excellent use of your free time yesterday. All of these cards are very pretty and impressive but I have to tell you that first card is over the top beautiful. While reading your whole post I had to keep going back to look at it a second and third time. Phenomenal!!! Enjoy your day.
ReplyDeleteThey are all beautiful Nancy but the 1st one is my favorite! Just gorgeous and so soothing! BEAUTIFUL! Like Donna just said ... I just HAD to keep scrolling back for another peek! Well done my friend ... hope hubby's eye is better!

Goodness, Nancy, you are rollin' out the cards. I absolutely love that hymnal card. Of course, they are all winners. I spy a snowman card....love it. Pink eye? Oh, that couldn't be good. Hope hubby is doing better.
ReplyDeleteYes, I knew you were a Lobos fan but had forgotten it. I was thinking you were for that 'other' Alabama team...you know the one. I can't say it. LOL

I think you and Charlene have both kidnapped my mojo! These are all such creative cards Nancy - each one more beautiful than the last! I absolutely love the tree stamped over the sheet music, and I love the old feeling the paper has. Your coffee ring card made me smile and your flower silhouettes are gorgeous. I especially love the warm colors you used for the background on the sympathy card. Your snowman card is darling - a favorite image of mine too. I like the netting and I'm going to be stealing your idea for how you did the sentiment on that! Your last card is really cute too. I love the layout you used and that baseball paper background is the best! Now set my mojo free!
ReplyDeletePat's card are awesome...but I bet she is pleased with this card you made from her inspiration. It is so lovely and beautifully done. So are your other cards...all of them...you have been on a roll...Please pass some of that mojo to me...I need some right now.
ReplyDeleteLove these. The spilt coffee is priceless. I won't be around much for the next month or so (moving), but will check back here as often as possible.
ReplyDeleteNancy, you have been a busy lady!! These are all FABULOUS! The first card is absolutely stunning! and I agree about the coffee sentiment! Of course you're still a Teapotter . . . I too have been m.i.a. there but we are always Teapotters :-) This card is fabulous for the challenge this week! gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous!! hugs

ReplyDeleteHoly smokes! You've been busy with cards (and a medical visit to boot! hope DH feels better), Nancy. Doesn't it feel GOOD to crank out creations?? I am inspired by the simple sympathy card in the middle of the mix. The coneflowers look neat the way you stamped them in a watercolory sort of way.
ReplyDeleteOMG Nancy...you have been super busy! So much too look at, I can't even pick a favorite...I love them ALL. Such detail!
