Fall Hydrengeas

This week's Inspiration Challenge on SCS had is visit The Bella Cottage. I used THIS lovely Jeanette Donaher Spring Hydrangea photo as my inspiration, but I saw a bunch more items that inspired me at this lovely shop.

I used my new Joy! Crafts Hydrangea die that Carol at Chocolate Crafts and Bears oh My made me buy (just kidding but she is a big Enabler). Took a little time, but I love how the flowers came out. My sentiment is from Our Daily Bread Designs so I am entering it in this week's Anything Goes Challenge - I love this sentiment as it works for so many occasions.

I added some fun glitter from Sparkle and Sprinkle to the centers of my Fall Hydrangeas so I am also entering this in the Sparkle N Sprinkle September challenge (my second entry) which is to use glitter, embossing or flocking on your creation.

Hugz and have a great weekend!

  16. I thought it was you that talked me into buying this die???? lol Hey I was playing with mine last night too. I really like it. It was a good purchase--you know we both love Hydrangeas. I still have the birthday card from a couple years ago that you sent me with the big Hydrangea on it. It is so pretty-it's in a glass frame in my craft room so I can look at it. This is so beautiful with the shabby chic color combination. I like the way the leaves are turned up on you flower. Love this sentiment too. It's just beautiful.
    Bear Hugs,
    Carol

Some Penguins

Today kicks off the newest Pattie's Creations Challenge which is Tags . Just Tags. No cards with Tags on or in them - just tags. I love to make just tags so this one was right up my alley. I used the super cute Penguin image from Pattie's Creations, but I couldn't stop at just one so I made a little penguin family. My tag is made from an old cardboard box top which I peeled down, painted, distressed a bit, and then added some snow medium. My bow is actually a new bow designed by Pamela Lehto (available at Squigglefly tomorrow). Please join us in the Pattie's Creations Tag Challenge - there are lovely DT tags for inspiration and Pattie gives away wonderful prizes! Hugz!
It's time for the New Release Blog Hop at Dude Time Doodles ! I am thrilled to show off Elmer Elf - just one of the four new images. I love them all and plan to make Christmas cards with every single one of them. Be sure and pick them up soon in the store if you like them because all the Dude Time Doodles Images will be retiring in the next few weeks - sniff, sniff! If you came to my blog from Sharon's amazing blog you can continue on to Mags who has another wonderful creation to show you. Dude Time Doodles blog hops are easy as you can hop on at any point and just continue around. Be sure and leave comments because one of the DT members is the mystery host/hostess and one of the commenters on their blog will win free images from the store. Hugz!!

A Bit of Tea, Horses, and a Cowboy

I love when my children follow in my footsteps and beyond (only the cool footsteps, of course).   My daughter, Allie, has developed a love of tea.  She sent me this picture over the weekend of her having tea in her newly remodelled bedroom.   She was drinking Breakfast in Paris tea in one of her favorite thrift store mugs.  This is my ticket to the T-day gathering over at Elizabeth's blog .  To join us, all you have to do is have a drink related post (can be any type of drink).   The neighborhood horses have been gathering in our backyard for some reason. Our horse refuses to come up near our house because the lady who owns all these horses gives her much better treats.  They all jump the fences and visit everyone.  The mule in the picture is actually named after me because I named one of cows after the neighbor (he paid me back - lol). I gave them apples when they came on Sunday, and they have come back every day since - lol....
