Some Pretty Butterflies

This week's DRS Designs Challenge is a color inspiration based on this picture:


They are such fun colors!  You can use a few of the colors or all of them.  I picked a few for my card:


I used my favorite Birthday greeting - Brush Birthday Greeting and added a few butterflies from the Three Butterflies stamp and the Single Flying Butterfly stamp.   Added a few polka dots by hand to make them a little different and tied some pretty seam binding.

    Awesome card with that yummy ribbon and all of those layers!! Love that it has the layers but still looks CAS in style! Brilliant job my friend! ;)

    What a fab script sentiment. I'm always looking for good handwriting-look sentiments for cards. Love your inspiration picture too. Bet this would be an easy place to describe to some guest looking for your home! I also liked your take on the colors. The butterflies are so pretty, and the layout so clean & uncluttered. Just a cool breath of fresh. Very lovely. TFS & hope your wkend has been pleasant. Hugs

Today kicks off the newest Pattie's Creations Challenge which is Tags . Just Tags. No cards with Tags on or in them - just tags. I love to make just tags so this one was right up my alley. I used the super cute Penguin image from Pattie's Creations, but I couldn't stop at just one so I made a little penguin family. A Bit of Tea, Horses, and a Cowboy

 I love when my children follow in my footsteps and beyond (only the cool footsteps, of course).   My daughter, Allie, has developed a love of tea.  She sent me this picture over the weekend of her having tea in her newly remodelled bedroom.   She was drinking Breakfast in Paris tea in one of her favorite thrift store mugs.  This is my ticket to the T-day gathering over at Elizabeth's blog .  To join us, all you have to do is have a drink related post (can be any type of drink).   The neighborhood horses have been gathering in our backyard for some reason. Our horse refuses to come up near our house because the lady who owns all these horses gives her much better treats.  They all jump the fences and visit everyone.  The mule in the picture is actually named after me because I named one of cows after the neighbor (he paid me back - lol). I gave them apples when they came on Sunday, and they have come back every day since - lol....
