T is for P: Pizza, a Peacock, a Pocket Letter

It's T-day again over at Elizabeth's blog where we all post something related to drinks.  Today my drink is a Sparkling Ice drink which my daughter and I love.  Here we are at her new house eating a wonderful pizza from Fox's Pizza (half chicken rancher and half pepperoni) and sharing an Ice drink (we are sitting in the couch out of the camera's eye of course.  The drink was appropriate as it was like ice in her house as she never had her gas turned on and we had a cold snap.

Here is what the drink looks like prior to opening.

After we ate pizza she convinced me to go to the Art Guild and see the local art displayed there.  This was my favorite piece they were displaying.  The artist was there and we talked to her a bit.  She tried to convince me to come this Saturday and do their Art Walk.  Evidently you sign up and they give you a package of art supplies.  You walk around downtown and draw/paint something.  Then they display all the art during the next week. I am not sure I will go, but maybe.....

Saturday, I went to a crop at my Aunt Joan's.  I worked on several cards and a new pocket letter.

This is made with Close to My heart papers and images other than the headline and two other outside banners which I printed on my computer.  The rolled roses in the bottom left were ones I did years ago and had sitting in a jar. I painted all the flowers with my finger as I forgot to bring a brush - lol.

Hope the weather is lovely wherever you are - here is cold - too cold for us and too cold for Spring.

Hugz and Happy T-day.

Nancy

    Beautiful cards.
    With your finger?! That works?
To cold here, also. But have a nice T-day anyways, hugz
P.S. horrible. Only 15 days and not in a row?! Is that legal?

    1. My finger work, but I have to tell you I got some really crazy looks from the others! I couldn't get it exact as you will see, but then it worked well plus I did a light touch on most of them. Yes 15 days and not in a row is very legal. Many places only allow two weeks. In another few years, I would get another week added. At my previous job, I got 5 weeks but that was after 19 years and I was much higher up.

  4. Good morning, your pizza looks so good-I need to made us one soon. I keep that ice drink around all the time here-no sugar or salt added and they always taste good too with many flavors to choose from.
That art walk sounds interesting and could be a fun way to create art. If you go share some photos. Happy T and Happy Spring

  6. Blessings to your daughter and all who enter her home. The Sparkling Ice Drinks are delicious. Looks like you had a fun and productive time at the Crop. After snow the weekend before, we are finally getting a little taste of Spring. Sunshine, not a lot of wind, and temps in the 50s. Short lived as a cold front is coming through tomorrow with rain for Thurs. Happy T Day

  9. I have several of those Ice drinks in my fridge. I love them. Your daughter's new hoe looks lovely, at least the snippet we got to see! Your pizza looks good, too. Lots of tasty ingredients on it.

That is a beautiful peacock. I have no idea what may is referring to, but I sure like that beauty. You should go on Saturday and get free art supplies, too (grin),

I love those flowers you colored for your pocket letter. I can't believe you colored those using your finger. Even your finger is talented!!!

Thanks for sharing your art, the art in town, your daughter's new home, the pizza, and your Ice with us for T this Tuesday, dear Nancy.

  16. I like the peacock picture very much - especially because of the idea of draping the feathers all around. The Art Walk also sounds exciting - I'm curious if you do it.
All the best and have a nice weekend!
    Hugs, Traude 😘

Forest Goodies and Other Projects

Hello Crafty Friends. I just got the Stamperia Forest Paper and Die Cuts in the mail so I had to play with them right away.   I have a combo creation - journal page and card.  On the journal page I used my 6x6 Dina Wakley Journal and laid a base of gesso.  I then used Dina's pastel crayons and some SU! inks and stamps.  Also added in some TH Dress Ink in Vintage Photo since I don't know how to make anything without it  (seriously).   The eagle is a Stamperia Forest die cut and is coated with gesso.  Did a bit of stenciling and distressing to finish the page off.  I am linking this the the **Art*Journal*Journey* September Texture Theme (last day - can't wait to see what October's Theme will be).  The die cut and the little smears add texture to the already very textured page.   I love the blue and green together and was inspired to made a quick card for my Son-in-law who cut down some tree limbs for us the other day....

Halloween Lunch Pictures and Some Art

Happy T-day! Our favorite local restaurant is Fox's Pizza Den where they have great pizza, sandwiches, pasta and salads. They also have a Bourbon Bar.  Prices range from $7 to almost $1,000 on the bourbon and bourbon drinks.   Each holiday, the bourbon bar comes up with fun holiday themed drinks and they decorate the bar too.  A few weeks ago, we headed there for lunch and to try one of the new drinks.  Here is the holiday drink menu and my tickets to T-day over at Elizabeth's Blog where we share our fun drink related items from the week.  Of course, my daughter loves vampire books and movies so she picked the blood bag. I go more for taste so I got the Meet Your Maker - it was wonderful.   We shared a pizza and a salad.  I forgot to take a picture of the pizza, but I did get one of the salad. It had grilled chicken and potato wedges - super fun.  They make their ranch dressing on site and it is wonderful.  My husband has been know...

Dreams of Fall, Numbers, and a Cool Drink

I hate to admit it, but I am already looking forward to Fall!  That is also the theme for this House Mouse card I finished up today. I stamped this 2009 Turning Over a New Leaf (Monica) image on the envelope too because the current House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge #392 theme is decorate your envelope too.  On the card, I stamped the image, popped up some of the leaves and drew in some branches.  The background and leaves are watercolored with DOX ink.  Monica is colored with pencils and watercolor.   I sure wished it was Fall on Saturday when we were watching our youngest grandson at the 6U All Star State Championship. It was very hot. His team lost in the semi-finals. We were very proud of how hard they played. Speaking of baseball, I did two pages on our two All-Stars. I am linking them up to the Numbers theme at **Art*Journal*Journey* .  I have numbers in the journaling and there are numbers on their jerseys.   The All Stars cap ...
