Hello friends.
In one of the towns next to us, they have a great coffee house, so our family decided to grab a coffee and ice cream last week. It was a hot day so some of us got iced coffee and everyone else had ice cream. My middle grandson had cookie monster ice cream which is his seond favorite behind gator claw. I can't rememember what any one else had, but I had the voodoo child coffee (coffee, lavender, cream, etc.) - it is my favorite so far.
Someone was all smiles (he got the comfy chair). You can see a bit of my 6 ft 4 husband pointing at the ice cream while he was waiting for his to be ready.Of course, I totally forgot to take a picture of my drink until the very end. Made my Grandson hold my empty cup for a picture. I seriously considered another drink....
A bit of art from this weekend. This was for the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com - I drew and watercolored it using Daniel Smith watercolors and a white and black gel pen.
Iris, I tried to make my week sound interesting like you always do, but I failed on both attempts. I am going to keep trying though!
Happy Tuesday to the T-gang over at Elizabeth's. Blog Elizabeth I hope you have me marked down for participating in your exchange and I definitely want to do ATCs.
Hugz,
Nancy
Nancy I wouldn´t say that! You can top me easily with your family fun! I hadn´t that in years!
ReplyDeleteAnd also... this is no contest ;-)
Your flowers came out great. I really need time to try watercolors once more!
Happy T-Day and hugz
I enjoyed your post, years ago we had a favorite homemade ice cream shop that we loved and would splurge quite often-then they just closed up not sure why as they were always very busy. nothing like that here now close by. your coffee sounds really delicious.
ReplyDeleteand I Love your art very pretty I have not played iwth my watercolors lately since I tackled my spinning fibers again Happy T
What a beautiful smile your happy boy is sharing with us! Ice cream is the best.
ReplyDeletehave a great week.... mae at maefood.blogspot.com
You have such fun places to go for drinks of all sorts Nancy. And it was hot. Winter isn't leaving us this year in NH, so I am jealous. Your grandson's smile is amazing. As are those ice cream names. I want to know about gator claw. Lovely card too. I hope you are having a wonderful T day and week ahead. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteIce cream sounds so good but it is way too cold here for that. LOL I love your card, it is so pretty. Have a lovely day.
ReplyDeleteHi Nancy, glad you had such a great time out with your family. I love the names of the ices and drinks, too funny! And I see people wearing shorts instead of heavy coats and bootshow nice! Have a happy T Day and a great week, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteToo cold and snowing for ice cream. Though like Erika I'd like to know what Cookie Monster and Gator Claw are like. Your grandson looks so cute. Your card is lovely and making me wish for warm weather. Is it July yet? Happy T and Pi Day
ReplyDeleteNancy i want your drink just because of the name. LOL! Your painting is lovely! Is that a card? Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYum to ice cream! Your watercolor card is stunning! You always amaze me with your watercolors! Do you watch tutorials or is this from your imagination?
ReplyDeleteHappy Tea Day,
Kate
Kate, it was from a picture of a wedding bouquet which I changed to be in a vase. I do watch lots of tutorials - I watched one on perspective and this was a great way to practice it. Your watercolors amaze me!
DeleteWhat fun you have with your family. So nice and such interesting places you visit. Your grandson has an infectious grin. I loved the sound of the names of those ice creams.
ReplyDeleteYour card is absolutely stunning, Nancy. I can't draw anything, so I am in awe of the wonderful card you drew. I was especially impressed with the vase. It looked like real water inside. And those various flowers were out of this world.
Thanks for sharing your trip to the ice cream parlor, your card, and your Voodoo Child drink with us for T this Tuesday. The only ice cream place still in Wichita is a cold slab ice cream parlor on the east side of town.
It took forever, but my comment FINALLY published!
ReplyDeleteNow THIS comment won't publish!
Hi Nancy! I love your watercolor card. It is amazing!
ReplyDeleteWow, you already have hot days. It's chilly here, but it seems we are going to have a couple dry and sunny days before the rain returns. Time to work in the garden. I like iced coffees, I would probably favored that more than the ice cream.
ReplyDeleteWow! Your card is absolutely gorgeous! Your watercolor painting is amazing! Hope you're doing well friend!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great place for coffee and icecream- and some good family time! Love your watercolour flowers. Belated Happy T Day, Chrisx
ReplyDeleteHihi dear Nancy, I keep forgetting to take pictures of my drinks, too and then snap half-empty glasses ;-) It sure looks like a great family ice cream get-together!
ReplyDeleteAll the best and have a nice weekend - Traude 😘
