Spring Where Are You?

Hello friends.

It is cold, and I am ready for Spring. I have some pretty flowers to share with you.

This one was made with the Spellbinders Geranium and Wooden Bucket dies. I water colored the background, the bucket and the flowers using watercolor paper and Daniel Smith watercolors. I was inspired by the Art Nudge 225C inspiration photo here:

The challenge is open to all artists of any type - textile, paper, oil, watercolor, stamping, mixed media, sculpture, cookies, etc.

I have more flowers after doing the watercolor and sketch challenges on Splitcoaststampers.com this week:

The watercolor challenge was based on a tutorial video by MarenaArt which can be found HERE. The sketch card is the one on the right.

Don't you love the Unity stamp on the left - so encouraging.

I loved painting the loose poppies so much that I painted the boiled egg I made for my chicken salad - lol.

I am late for T-day again over at Elizabeth's Blog - I am always the caboose lately (but at least I am showing up). We always share a drink related item in our post, and anyone is welcome to join in. This week, I am drinking a new to me tea from The Republic of Tea. I really like it.

I hope the remainder of your week is wonderful. Thanks for dropping by.

Hugz,

Nancy

  6. Nancy, that bucket of germaniums just blows me away!! PLEASE tell me you are going to frame it?! I adore your poppies, too, and love that you feel inspired and confident enough to take the time to turn a boiled egg into a little work of art!! 🤯Hugs, Darnell

Some Penguins

Today kicks off the newest Pattie's Creations Challenge which is Tags . Just Tags. No cards with Tags on or in them - just tags. I love to make just tags so this one was right up my alley. I used the super cute Penguin image from Pattie's Creations, but I couldn't stop at just one so I made a little penguin family. My tag is made from an old cardboard box top which I peeled down, painted, distressed a bit, and then added some snow medium. My bow is actually a new bow designed by Pamela Lehto (available at Squigglefly tomorrow). Please join us in the Pattie's Creations Tag Challenge - there are lovely DT tags for inspiration and Pattie gives away wonderful prizes! Hugz!
It's time for the New Release Blog Hop at Dude Time Doodles ! I am thrilled to show off Elmer Elf - just one of the four new images. I love them all and plan to make Christmas cards with every single one of them. Be sure and pick them up soon in the store if you like them because all the Dude Time Doodles Images will be retiring in the next few weeks - sniff, sniff! If you came to my blog from Sharon's amazing blog you can continue on to Mags who has another wonderful creation to show you. Dude Time Doodles blog hops are easy as you can hop on at any point and just continue around. Be sure and leave comments because one of the DT members is the mystery host/hostess and one of the commenters on their blog will win free images from the store. Hugz!!

A Bit of Tea, Horses, and a Cowboy

I love when my children follow in my footsteps and beyond (only the cool footsteps, of course).   My daughter, Allie, has developed a love of tea.  She sent me this picture over the weekend of her having tea in her newly remodelled bedroom.   She was drinking Breakfast in Paris tea in one of her favorite thrift store mugs.  This is my ticket to the T-day gathering over at Elizabeth's blog .  To join us, all you have to do is have a drink related post (can be any type of drink).   The neighborhood horses have been gathering in our backyard for some reason. Our horse refuses to come up near our house because the lady who owns all these horses gives her much better treats.  They all jump the fences and visit everyone.  The mule in the picture is actually named after me because I named one of cows after the neighbor (he paid me back - lol). I gave them apples when they came on Sunday, and they have come back every day since - lol....
