Neutral Hogs and Kisses

Wow!  I can't believe it has been months since I last posted to my blog.  Don't you hate when life gets in the way of your crafting?  Well, I am back and furiously making cards to replenish my stash and for the design team I joined - DRS Designs Rubber Stamps.  DRS Designs has a wide variety of rubber stamps and they focus on awesome sentiments and versatile images.  I am so in love with everything they offer!

The challenge this week is Put It In Neutral (#172).  The theme is the basic neutrals such as white, tan, ivory, kraft, brown, black and gray.  I ended up making a card with all those great colors plus a little yellow and green (but I went over those colors with a touch of tan).  My pig looks a bit pink, but he is really a weird shade of tan.

To make this card, I look a scrap of a gray based tan paper and hand cut a heart.  Next I stamped my cute little Leonard stamp (Leonard Pig Rose Offering) then used the fun Splatter Background stamp to mimic mud splatters.  I stamped Leonard a few more times and popped him up and placed him inside as well.  Then I used one of my favorite sentiments, Hogs and Kisses, and the new Picket Fence image. I put it all on a piece of a box I had laying around because I so love to use cardboard on my cards so my husband has to pay extra to mail them! LOL!
This was a super fun card to make.  Hope you will join us in this challenge!  I promise to get around in the next few days and see what you all have been up to lately.
