Paper Towels, Ink and a Few Bees!

Hello crafty friends!   I created a BAJ page yesterday after not doing one for over a month!  I had some MOJO issues - you know how it is.... I created this for the following challenges: 1. Pockets and Tags challenge at * *Art*Journal*Journey* 2. My DTGD20 challenge on Splitcoaststampers.com 3. The August MMJ04 challenge on Splitcoaststampers.com 4. This weeks Inspiration Challenge on Splitcoaststampers.com I tried to get very close to the stripes in the inspiration photo but changed them up a bit and added in a pretty embossing on vellum on the tag and card.  The tag is attached to ,my BAJ page.  It is made from torn paper towels used to mop up ink and paint (done by my darling Grandson, Lewis - we had a play day last week).  I embossed the edges a bit to match the embossing on the velum (DRS Designs Count your blessings stamp).  The leaves are also from the same paper towel creation and they were stamped and embossed as well.    My BAJ page is Luke 14: 13-14 but really the whole of L

Fish, Tea, and Some Cards

The **Art*Journal*Journey* theme for August (can you believe it is August already?) is Pockets and Tags and was chosen by Alison AKA Craftytrog.  I was inspired by the theme to make two journal pages this weekend.  My first one is made with a wine bottle covering.  The covering was loose rather than glued on the bottle and encouraged cooking with several recipes  I cut it down and glued it down in my Dina Wakley Journal.  I added a few fish from the leftover covering and used gesso to glue them down.  Next, I stamped a few fish and added them in too.   The tag is a cover sheet from my Sprocket film that I cut in a tag shape.  I stamped it with a DRS Designs greeting (Go With the Flow Follow Your Heart) along with one fish cut in half.   I raided hubby's tackle box for the tag and hooked it to that wonderful fish in the corner.   Next, I wanted to make a pocket for a tag to cover the full theme. I used some papers from Stamperia's Alice paper pack to match the Alice page from a
