Halloween Preparations

I have had a Halloween theme to my cards lately.  I have always loved Halloween because it is the day before my birthday and I love the concept of dressing up as anything you want.  Even scary things are fun on this day.  Here are a few cards I have made with new rubber from DRS Designs.

This card is done with the new Expect the Unexpected Greeting and the new Scary Skull.  I did it all in pink (ink, spray, smash technique) and drew on some doodles to turn the skulls into sugar skulls - all to take down the scare factor a bit.

This next card uses the the new Iron Fence & Gate image, the new Deco Happy Halloween Greeting, and the Silhouette Cat on Moon image. I used some left over paper from the previous card for the background.

This card was done for an Inspiration Challenge at DRS and was inspired by THIS garden flag at Just For Fun Flags.  I made the flag background with the Wood Grain stamp and Flower Scroll.  I stamped the Silhouette Haunted House on the orange ink, spray and smash panel and added the new Its a Scream Halloween Greeting.  The skull is a Jolee's Sticker.

This last one is the scariest!  Believe it or not, it was inspired by THIS belt at Orvis.  I used the Scary Skull image but this time, I glittered it up.  I stamped it twice and covered the bottom layer in black glitter.  On the top, I cut out all the non-black parts of the skull and covered that layer in silver glitter glue sprinkled over with silver glitter.  The background is ink, spray, and smash technique using TH Distress Ink in Vintage Photo.  I think it always looks like leather or suede.  I did faux stitching around the edge and my dies are all from Spellbinders.  To bring down the scare factor, I used the Hugz greeting off the Hugz 4-in-1 Wording stamp.

I loved making these cards - hope you enjoyed them.
