Mother Day Wishes

My laptop computer is still in the shop - I promise I am going to catch up with everyone as soon as I get it back. I feel like a fish out of water - seriously!!! This week's Squigglefly challenge is all about Mother's Day. Once again I used Blow Me A Kiss by Lynn Stansbery - one of my favorite Squigglefly images. I was going with a lot of texture on this card and I was also trying to experiment with cardboard. One of my panels and all my flowers were made with left-over pieces of cardboard. I am trying to come up with some ideas to share at work with how to engineer some thank you cards and other items with things at hand. I hand cut them and I think they came out nicely. I know my Mother will love this - she loves this image and loves anything made with recycled items. Make a Mother's Day card and join us at Squigglefly! Hugz!

Some Geisha Girls and Lanterns

Sniff, sniff, sniff - my laptop has crashed. Had to move to my old desktop and it is super slow. The MFPSpeedyTV Inspiration Challenge this week is Geisha Girls - look at these beautiful colors: I used the MFP Asian Delights and Lanterns sets. Hope you will join us. Hugz!

Flowers, an Apron, and a Cat!

Had a week off from most my DTs so I played around a bit the last few days: Played in the Splitcoast Stampers Clean and Simple Challenge last night which included specific colors (lavender, purple, green and blue): Used some older SU! Flowers and some punched and twisted MS hydrangea punched flowers. Another Birthday card done so I can catch up on another late birthday! Here is a bit different card - it is a prototype actually: I work at Rheem Manufacturing (Water Heater Division) and my group mainly deals with The Home Depot. I need some Thank-You cards for work and thought this would be a good concept for them. I did this symbol with a pen (I know that is obvious) and will need to do future ones with my computer. I will also use black or white ribbon on future ones because the oranges on this clash a bit. I am still playing around since I will probably make about 20 of these (give me any suggestions you have!!!). Wouldn't this be great with a little gift card in the

Some Pretty Lanterns

It's Thursday and time for this week's MFPSpeedyTV Inspiration Challenge . I look forward to this challenge every week because Shirley comes up with some really great and inspiring pictures. Here are the pictures for this week: Here is my card using MFP's Lanterns and Lots of Words : Come join us!

Some Easter Cards

The Squigglefly Challenge this week is Easter Cards . I made mine with the Spring Bouquet Cup image by Pam Lehto. I needed another Easter card so I made another one with another image by Pam called Floppy Eared Rabbit . I computer generated my image and hand cut my carrots (I used the MS branch punch for the tops). Easter is just around the corner so make a few more cards and come join us!

Some Glittery Fish

The MFPSpeedyTV Challenge this week (#58) is Under the Sea . Here are the totally awesome pictures Shirley has found: I picked the pink one! I used MFP's Koi Fish and Lots of Words on my card. Come join us. Hugz!

Some Nice Thoughts, Fun Memories, and Pretty Flowers

The newest Verve Challenge is Chevron Chic - to use Chevrons on your creation. I used some sparkling chevrons from CTMH and some Basicgrey paper - some with chevrons and some with some pretty birds. The Verve stamp Nicest Thoughts (its on sale btw) seem perfect with this paper. I needed some feathers and flowers so I cut some circles and made some rolled flowers and then hand cut some feathers. I had some extra time to play today so I did the FS challenge on SCS. I cased THIS card of Lisa's. I also made a couple of scrapbook pages using the CSI challenge #117 for inspiration. Hope you had a good weekend too. Hugz!

Hugz for Kathleen

One of the sweetest card artists are SCS is facing a big mountain right now and this card is going to her. You can read more about it HERE . The papers I used are from K&Co and SU! and my sentiment is from the MFP Medallion set. Hugz!

A Birthday Card for One of My Princesses

The new Pattie's Creations Challenge is Fancy Folds. Right now my favorite fold is the Accordion Card. HERE is the link to the tutorial that I learned from. I used the Princess Pumpkin Coach image from Pattie's Creations. and here is part of the inside: Both my princesses are in the picture, but this will be Allie's Birthday Card so the arrow points to her. On the other pages, I have a picture of her when she was very little and on the back is a birthday wish. Hope you will show us your fancy folds and join in the Pattie's Creations Challenge. Hugz!

A Happy Card

The MFPSpeedyTV Inspiration Challenge (Challenge #57) pictures are so GORGEOUS this week! I would love to know where these places are so I could go visit! Wow!!! Here is my card: I used the MFP Medallion Set. I mixed heat and stick powder with ultra fine glitter (a complete accident by the way - LOL) for the embossing and then sprayed my paper with Luminarte's Radiant Rain Shimmer Mist in Snapdragon. The sentiments with this set are super sweet so I just made the largest one into a banner. I gifted this to a friend yesterday (along with chocolate) and she smiled all day! More on this sentiment: I think this sentiment is really spot on. I believe our thoughts control our health, the joy we experience in life, our relationships with others, the quality of work we do, our dreams (nightly and of the future), and even our weight. Studies show that gratefulness can increase your life ( HERE is one link to a study on this). I think happy thoughts can do the same. What are yo
