New Stuff At Dude Time


Today is the terribly exciting Dude Time Doodles New Release Blog Hop. There are some great new images available, and the Design Team is showcasing the images with their wonderful creations. My Patriotic card was made with Minute Man Marty. He symbolizes how much of a contribution the average Joe (or Marty in this case - LOL) has made in every group's (countries, peoples, individuals, etc.) quest for rights. I could see him used on a card with comments like "Give me a drum roll please...," "American Band" (with some words from the song), "Dance to your own beat." Fun!!!

If you didn't come from Ruth's blog, be sure to jump on the hop and visit everyone as you won't want to miss the fun.     Fantastic job on Marty. Love your colors and your design. It looks like the Constitution (or is it the Bill of Rights) in the background.

    Hubba Hubba this looks like Mel Gibson from "The Patriot"!!!! We had Johnny Depp the other week here didn't we??? If you get Stephen Tyler then I will be over the moon!!! This is one super fantastic card. Full of patriotic goodness for the coming holiday!

    This is neat, Nutzi! The image is colored so well, and the frame you've set him in is soooo patriotic. Great job! (I love Carol's comment above mine - Mel Gibson! LOL)

    Thanks for the nice comment you made about my daughter's monster card. I AM really glad she likes to craft with me. The other DD won't do it. :(

    I love how you have created a vintage card...the colours are so perfect!
    Yes, I don't think we always really cherish our freedom, and realise our resposibility to protect it. (I live in South Africa and we had our fair share of fighting for freedom in many ways, even today!)

Hello Crafty Friends! I love Halle's theme at **Art*Journal*Journey* this month: Botanicals. So many possibilities... I combined the botanical theme with some of the colors in ARTNUDGE#725A and came up with this Bible Art Journal page focusing on 1 Timothy 2:1-2. I also made a patriotic prayer card too. In these verses, Paul tells Timothy (and all of us) to pray for everyone but he especially calls out prayer for kings and leaders. He indicates that this type of prayer could lead us to a tranquil and quite life in all godliness and dignity. I think we can all agree that the world needs much prayer right now and it is an easy step we can take.   I experimented on this journal page. I usually cover any bible journal pages with gesso before painting on them, but I have issues with the gesso gumming up my Micron pens or unevenly taking color. This time I used Daniel Smith Ground Medium in Titanium White (I mixed it with 10 parts water). I loved it and will be using it in the fut...

Wise Words for Life's Storms

 My first post as a Guest Designer for Creative Worship Stamps. This watercolor and ink card features one of my favorite CWS sentiments - Big God . I am so grateful He is there in storms and this stamp beautifully underscores His power. The main panel of this card is watercolor paper and was painted with Daniel Smith Watercolors and Liquid Ink (the white highlights in the rain drops).
