My Favorite Christmas Colors!

DRS Designs is the sponsor at Tuesday Morning Sketches this week so I decided to play too (especially since the sketch is sooo fun).  I love the aqua, green, and red color combination I am seeing on Christmas cards this year so get ready for an aqua, green and red color explosion on my blog over the next few months!



All my images and backgrounds are by DRS Designs:

Ornament: Simple Ornament
Inside the Ornament:  Snow Tree with Fence
Greeting and foliage around ornament:  Season's Greetings Holy Spray
Base Background: Small Merry Christmas Greeting (stamped multiple times)
Top Background Panels:  Script Font Background

This sketch was so fun and I really like how the card came out.  Hope you get a chance to play in the challenge too.

    These are two color I would not have thought to put together but they work beautifully. I can' wait to see more of your Christmas cards with these two colors. This one is just beautiful. Have a good day.

    I've missed seeing a couple of gorgeous cards from you Nancy! This is so pretty and just love the colors you used for it. I wouldn't have ever thought those colors would look good together and yet they're wonderful!

    Girl, you make a Christmas card that is a gift all by itself! The layering and richness of this card blows me away! And you go ahead with the color jam because I love green, aqua, and red on a CC, too!! Enjoy your day! Hugs, Darnell

    This is so amazing! Love the way you have used the tree stamp inside the ornament stamp!! BTW, the embossing folder I used is from Cuttlebug 5 X 7 (not sure the name of it)

Hello Crafty Friends! I love Halle's theme at **Art*Journal*Journey* this month: Botanicals. So many possibilities... I combined the botanical theme with some of the colors in ARTNUDGE#725A and came up with this Bible Art Journal page focusing on 1 Timothy 2:1-2. I also made a patriotic prayer card too. In these verses, Paul tells Timothy (and all of us) to pray for everyone but he especially calls out prayer for kings and leaders. He indicates that this type of prayer could lead us to a tranquil and quite life in all godliness and dignity. I think we can all agree that the world needs much prayer right now and it is an easy step we can take.   I experimented on this journal page. I usually cover any bible journal pages with gesso before painting on them, but I have issues with the gesso gumming up my Micron pens or unevenly taking color. Wise Words for Life's Storms

 My first post as a Guest Designer for Creative Worship Stamps. This watercolor and ink card features one of my favorite CWS sentiments - Big God . I am so grateful He is there in storms and this stamp beautifully underscores His power. The main panel of this card is watercolor paper and was painted with Daniel Smith Watercolors and Liquid Ink (the white highlights in the rain drops). The words were stamped with black ink from Close to My Heart. Hugz, Nancy
