This week's DRS Designs Challenge is to use Lucky Charms on your creation. That can be your lucky color, theme, image, paper, number or a charm - anything that shows your lucky charm. I used green which is my favorite color (and lucky) and a four leaf clover (you can see it on the right bottom of the flowers in the hat - it is the bottom right of the popped up clovers).
The bottom base of my card was made by stamping the new Small Shamrock Group on the panel using two different Distress Inks. Then I took those same colors and sponged then on the bg to color it up.
Next, I stamped a few of the Hat full of Shamrocks image. I cut one panel out using a Spellbinders Die and sponged around the edge of the die. On the other ones, I just sponged the images using the same two colors of TH Distress Ink that I used on my bottom panel. I then fussy cut them out and glued them over the die cut panel. This way, I didn't have to really color anything! I stamped and sponged a few of new Tall Shamrocks and then fussy cut them out.
It all needed something so I added some glitter to all the panels in some way or another.
I think this may be my first St, Patrick's Day card. It was so fun, I am going to make some more!

You know what is on my kitchen counter, snow shoveling gloves trying to dry off, so your counter looks a lot better than mine. LOL This is a great St Patty's Day card and I love the way you did it. Nice change from regular coloring. Enjoy your day.

ReplyDeleteAdorable....We are channeling each other! I like this image, and love the glitter of the gold on the little shamrock groups on your background. It's a really cute image, and I like the way you've edged with the more blue shade instead of more green! (must remember that...as it creates a nice 'glow' to the hatfull of shamrocks!
