Valentine Fun

There are some fun new stamps in the latest DRS Designs release.  I used two of them on this fun Valentine's card.


I am so on a kick with using all that leftover cardboard from Christmas!  To make this card,  I cut and painted up a corrugated cardboard heart with some white chalk paint.  Then I layered on the new Amazing Love Puzzle (I fussy cut and sponged it), and the Amazing Valentine's Day Greeting.   To add an element of whimsy, I added a Cupig (love this little character). 

Don't you just love Valentine's cards?  They bring back so many fun childhood memories for me. 

I am entering this card in the:
Crafty Sentiments Challenge which is Anything Goes this week.
In the Pink Challenge - Anything goes but your card has to have pink as the main color.
Pile it On Challenge  -  Colorfully Aware (using an awareness ribbon as inspiration - Breast Cancer is my choice)

    Well I'll be darned - pigs have begun to fly! LOL This is so stinkin' cute with the corrugated panel and that silly looking oinker shooting his arrows! I love it!!

    This is a karack up, Nancy! A cupig!! At first I thought, well, gee, love comes when pigs fly? But then I read he's a cupig and I think it's too adorable! Go you for upcycling your cardboard in such fabulous ways and making cool designs with it! Happy New Year!! Hugs, Darnell

Hello Crafty Friends! I love Halle's theme at **Art*Journal*Journey* this month: Botanicals. So many possibilities... I combined the botanical theme with some of the colors in ARTNUDGE#725A and came up with this Bible Art Journal page focusing on 1 Timothy 2:1-2. I also made a patriotic prayer card too. In these verses, Paul tells Timothy (and all of us) to pray for everyone but he especially calls out prayer for kings and leaders. He indicates that this type of prayer could lead us to a tranquil and quite life in all godliness and dignity. I think we can all agree that the world needs much prayer right now and it is an easy step we can take.   I experimented on this journal page. I usually cover any bible journal pages with gesso before painting on them, but I have issues with the gesso gumming up my Micron pens or unevenly taking color. Wise Words for Life's Storms

 My first post as a Guest Designer for Creative Worship Stamps. This watercolor and ink card features one of my favorite CWS sentiments - Big God . I am so grateful He is there in storms and this stamp beautifully underscores His power. The main panel of this card is watercolor paper and was painted with Daniel Smith Watercolors and Liquid Ink (the white highlights in the rain drops).
