Hello friends!
Much inspiration in the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers today. I picked this lovely basket as my inspiration. Here is my card:
I love how my ink smooshing bg and flower came out.
After finishing it, I decided to try a BAJ using the same techniques and inspirational picture.
Today was a hard day. I attended my ex-husband's funeral
in support of him and my daughters.
I tried over the years to get him to open up about Christ
and he always told me not to worry because he would be ok. The last few years
he suffered from Parkinson's and the ravages it takes on a body.
His cousin is a Gideon, and he shared a story at the funeral of his last visit. Overton told him he wanted to go to heaven and wanted Jesus.
My girls were lucky enough to watch him pray on their last few visits.
What a joy and peace for us all to know we will see him again and Hades did not have another victory. Lovely words in 1 Corinthians 15: 55-57.

Oh wow Nancy - that is fantastic - my ex-husband is still walloping in his bad habits - I know there is still hope for his salvation, and I am sad for our adult son and all that he has gone through in his life time -however, my son has moved on and is doing so much better with a lovely family and his own Christian walk in life - thanks for stopping by my blog - I love your card and the Bible Journaling page as well -- I have been doing a bible on line Study with journaling[email me for the code for the free study if you are interested - you can download all of the stuff and still have time to catch up or do it at your own pace - there are free stickers and stuff as well]- I journal in a spiral notebook - the class has come to a halt until June 7 - so I have not been in my Bible journaling for a bit due to this class and other things that have kept me busy - we moved to a new town and I am still getting things organize here but I am afraid I am spending more time crafting with my new toy - a Portrait die cutting machine, than I am getting the things done - we have found a new church here in our area - after visiting several - so we believe we will be planting our feet there to serve - OK - I have rattled on enough - so sorry that your ex had to suffer with Parkinson's and all the complications - I wish you the best in your crafting journey and life--- have a lovely SON-day tomorrow! ReplyDeleteOh, wow! I favorited this card on SCS because I loved it so much but I didn't know about your ex-husband. I am so sorry. A loss is always difficult but what beauty too. Such a good feeling to know that your daughters were kind and loving through a difficult time. What a beautiful thing to know that he is with Christ now!!! Hugs.
