Some Christmas Goodies

Hello blog friends - I am still here.  We had snow in Alabama this week so it really looked like Christmas around here!  Hardly ever snows so it is such a treat for us!

Here are a few recent Christmas cards I have made:

This one was made with an old SU! set - Natural Beauty.  It is one of my favorites.  I challenged a friend to make a Christmas card using it as it is one of her favorites too.  This is my creation:

This one is the Christmas card I mass produced this year.  I used DRS Designs images:  Frog on a Log, Santa Puppy and Triple Holly.  I sponged the bg with various colors, colored the images with Prisma Pencils and flecked on some Snowtex.

Here is a fun little Christmas tag made from an Amazon box and lots of Snowtex and gold micro beads.  Super fun to make.  The rolled sentiment is from DRS Designs - Christmas Especially to you.
Hope you are getting ready for Christmas and enjoying the season.  Hugz!

  4. Fabulous creations Nancy, they are all beautiful but I think my favourite is the gorgeous tag.
Most of the UK had snow over the weekend, we just had wind and rain in the south - it would be so nice to have snow for Christmas!

  6. Wow, snow in Alabama must be a treat!! Your creations are sure a treat, too, Nancy! My goodness, your talent is awe-inspiring! That leaf wreath is not a card, it is a wall decoration! And you know how much I love frogs, so your batch card has me grinning! And the tag - well, speechless!! Happy Holiday hugs, Darnell

  7. These are amazing!! Love the dimension and texture on all of these. Loved scrolling down to see all the other amazing things you've been working on. Sorry I haven't been around in quite a while. I'm doing more of the background stuff on my teams and that doesn't leave me much, if any, time to visit others or create many projects.

Language Plays, Billiard Balls, and Some "Interesting" Wine

I always look forward to the new **Art*Journal*Journey* Theme each month. The May theme was chosen by Elle and she chose Language as the theme. So many cool things you can do with that theme.  This weekend I chose to do the Language(s) of God in my Journaling Bible.  When I started, I was going to do Fasting as a way of speaking to God but after listening to a Sermon on Fasting, I realized that was more complicated and I would have to study it more first. So I switched gears midstream and just did some of ways that God speaks to us and vice versa.  There are many more, but I put the ones I could think of quickly here.   The papers are from an old hymnal and Close to My Heart (CTMH).  The gnome is CTMH as well.  Now I have played with all the gnomes in the set,and I totally love them. While looking for the hymnal paper, I ran across an old song book that I was saving.  It was damaged so I knew it would have to be recycled into something....

Some Penguins

Today kicks off the newest Pattie's Creations Challenge which is Tags . Just Tags. No cards with Tags on or in them - just tags. I love to make just tags so this one was right up my alley. I used the super cute Penguin image from Pattie's Creations, but I couldn't stop at just one so I made a little penguin family. My tag is made from an old cardboard box top which I peeled down, painted, distressed a bit, and then added some snow medium. My bow is actually a new bow designed by Pamela Lehto (available at Squigglefly tomorrow). Please join us in the Pattie's Creations Tag Challenge - there are lovely DT tags for inspiration and Pattie gives away wonderful prizes! Hugz!

Stamps, Books, Found Relatives, and More Food

Don't you love getting new stuff?  This is my fun new stuff from  Red Lead Paperworks .   I ordered the fun vintage looking deer stamp and the three Christmas greetings - all were on sale a few weeks ago.  I love getting their packages because they always send some extra little goodies like collage sheets and old tickets plus even their packaging is cute and reusable.  The sheet with the leaves and acorns on the bottom is the other side of the invoice so you can reuse it as well.  I can't wait to play with these fun goodies.  Here is a look at my current reading pile.  I checked Basil's War by Stephen Hunter from the library, my daughter lent me The Paper Palace, and I bought The Host, Going Back to Petrey, and The Lady in Blue from the Thrift Store. I am reading Basil's War and The Lady in Blue at the same time - something I really shouldn't do especially since both books are the kind that switch between stories every chapter.  Th...
