All Ears!

Hello friends! Today, I am all ears! Bunny ears, that is.

My two cards are made with the DRS Designs Bunny Ears stamp.  This stamp is super cute and ranges from $3.05 to $6.10 in the store depending on if you get it unmounted, cling, or mounted on a wood base.  I get unmounted and use them in my MISTI.

I used THIS wreath tutorial  by Dina at Splitcoaststampers to create the base wreath for my two cards.  It was super easy and I love the results!
I did the first card CAS.  I did a layer of ears, colored them up with my new Arteza Brush Pens, did some doodling, added some Stickles, and then topped it off with some pearls one of my Grandsons had drug out of the craft room (they are smart boys!).

My second card started with the same base of bunny ears, but I just kept adding layers of ears and eggs and doodles.  Hubby thinks it looks like Easter blew up on this one, but I think that is a good thing - lol!
I also added in some Open Leaf Branch twigs ($5 unmounted and so versatile), and the egg off the Easter Ears Leonard Pig image ($5 unmounted).  The greeting is Deco Easter Greetings ($4.50 unmounted).  Before adding the greeting, I splattered on some brown watercolor paint to add even more detail.

Easter is on its way.  I am really looking forward to it this year because I am hiding eggs for the adults, teenagers, and kids - everyone is going to have fun.

Many hugz,

Nancy

  3. OMG Nancy, those bunny ears are so adorable. A bunny ear wreath who would have thought it possible and to add to that an Easter egg bunny ear one. I love it :)

Flowers, a Flag, and Some Wise Words

Hello Crafty Friends! I love Halle's theme at **Art*Journal*Journey* this month: Botanicals. So many possibilities... I combined the botanical theme with some of the colors in ARTNUDGE#725A and came up with this Bible Art Journal page focusing on 1 Timothy 2:1-2. I also made a patriotic prayer card too. In these verses, Paul tells Timothy (and all of us) to pray for everyone but he especially calls out prayer for kings and leaders. He indicates that this type of prayer could lead us to a tranquil and quite life in all godliness and dignity. I think we can all agree that the world needs much prayer right now and it is an easy step we can take.   I experimented on this journal page. I usually cover any bible journal pages with gesso before painting on them, but I have issues with the gesso gumming up my Micron pens or unevenly taking color. This time I used Daniel Smith Ground Medium in Titanium White (I mixed it with 10 parts water). I loved it and will be using it in the fut...

Wise Words for Life's Storms

My first post as a Guest Designer for Creative Worship Stamps. This watercolor and ink card features one of my favorite CWS sentiments - Big God . I am so grateful He is there in storms and this stamp beautifully underscores His power. The main panel of this card is watercolor paper and was painted with Daniel Smith Watercolors and Liquid Ink (the white highlights in the rain drops). The words were stamped with black ink from Close to My Heart. Hugz, Nancy
It's time for the New Release Blog Hop at Dude Time Doodles ! I am thrilled to show off Elmer Elf - just one of the four new images. I love them all and plan to make Christmas cards with every single one of them. Be sure and pick them up soon in the store if you like them because all the Dude Time Doodles Images will be retiring in the next few weeks - sniff, sniff! If you came to my blog from Sharon's amazing blog you can continue on to Mags who has another wonderful creation to show you. Dude Time Doodles blog hops are easy as you can hop on at any point and just continue around. Be sure and leave comments because one of the DT members is the mystery host/hostess and one of the commenters on their blog will win free images from the store. Hugz!!
