Thankful for Acorns, Leaves, and Collage Fodder

Hello friends.

Today I have an art journal page inspired by THIS watercolor video shared by Kia for the Splitcoaststamper.com water color challenge AND Elizabeth's and Bleubeard's **Art*Journal*Journey* theme Collage Fodder or Food and Drink or Both.  I miss everyone at AJJ so I am glad I had some time to play in this challenge. 

I could not find my pencil so I outlined the acorns and leaves with a light paint on watecolor paper. I was too lazy to go back and watch the leaves portion of the video so mine are a bit big and a bit crazy, comparatively. I like them so it all works out. 

The base page is all collage fodder from Taperology  I am addicted to the pretty stuff in that store and someone sent me a package of papers.  Wish I knew who.....I would give them a big hug.  Isn't that Alice Cooper ticket fun?  There was even a faux Beatles ticket in the package. I layered the papers with Gesso and a bit of TH Vintage Photo DOX.

    This is such a lovely autumn page Nancy. I just love the background, and is that a touch of gold? It looks lovely to add a bit of shine to it. And you are right, the ticket is such fun.     I googled what collage fodder is, and there were many samplers of them. Because I'm not now interested in hand made tasks, I doubt to make any. Your page is very good and rich of interesting items. Those colorful leaves are the top on it.

    Oh Nancy, that collage fodder background is fabulous. Yes, I love the Alice Cooper ticket and I think that store you sent me to just now is amazing. I can see why you like the items in their store. I was in love with the washi tapes. Your leaves and acorns are beautiful and signify autumn has truly arrived. Thank you beyond belief for sharing this beaut with Art Journal Journey using Bleubeard's and my theme!

    What gorgeous images you have used in your collage. I love all things autumnal and these are beautiful - the acorns and the oak leaves. Just beautiful - and therefore a beautiful age you have created.

Hello Crafty Friends! I love Halle's theme at **Art*Journal*Journey* this month: Botanicals. So many possibilities... I combined the botanical theme with some of the colors in ARTNUDGE#725A and came up with this Bible Art Journal page focusing on 1 Timothy 2:1-2. I also made a patriotic prayer card too. In these verses, Paul tells Timothy (and all of us) to pray for everyone but he especially calls out prayer for kings and leaders. He indicates that this type of prayer could lead us to a tranquil and quite life in all godliness and dignity. I think we can all agree that the world needs much prayer right now and it is an easy step we can take.   I experimented on this journal page. I usually cover any bible journal pages with gesso before painting on them, but I have issues with the gesso gumming up my Micron pens or unevenly taking color. Wise Words for Life's Storms

 My first post as a Guest Designer for Creative Worship Stamps. This watercolor and ink card features one of my favorite CWS sentiments - Big God . I am so grateful He is there in storms and this stamp beautifully underscores His power. The main panel of this card is watercolor paper and was painted with Daniel Smith Watercolors and Liquid Ink (the white highlights in the rain drops).
