Puppy Love

Happy Valentines Day!

Can You Digi It? is celebrating Valentines Day with a challenge that calls for us to show our love of puppies. The store has some awesome digi images of puppies - so many that I had a tough time deciding which image to use. I decided to try Sleeping Frenchie by Carlas Creatures. Isn't this little puppy so cute? I used some digital paper that was free from Squigglefly
for my background. I wanted a sentiment that expressed how special dogs are to us, and I remembered SARK has some really touching quotes about dogs (I love how she views life). I printed out the quote when I printed out my digital pawprint backgroud and my puppy image. To finish up, I added a heart button and some twine. What a fun card to make.

Check out the puppy images in the store. If you are new to digital stamps, there is even a free puppy image in the store! Bu if you really love dogs, you will want to check out the dog images! There are dogs with hearts and purses, Sharpeis, a bunch of Boston Terriers, Rottweiler, and so much more. Some of the images are already shaded like the one I used (I didn't have to do a thing to it). Can you tell I love the dog images???

I have had some awesome dogs in my life - some were mine, some were my parents', and even one belongs to my daughters' boyfriend (he has a bulldog named Chewy that weighs a 100 lbs, slobbers everywhere, and I wish he was mine!!!). I don't have any dogs as my husband is so allergic to pet dander, so I have to visit other people's puppies to get some puppy love (good thing my parents live next door). I do have a cow named Allie (yes, I name my cows after my favorite people) that lets me pet her and she comes when I call her - but she only does it if I have a hand full of cow treats.

Hope you all have a wonderful Valentines Day! Love can take many forms - it can be romantic love, the love of a friend, the love you have for family, and even puppy love (or cows if you don't have puppies). Hugz!!!

  4. Cute card, Nancy :) Love the paw print BG. Your description of Chewy made me laugh - must say the slobber gets to me too much so I'll stick to cats LOL! Glad you have "adopted" pets you can snuggle to your hearts content and of course Allie :) Happy Valentine's Day!!

  5. Nancy, such a sweet puppy, but then what baby anything isn't sweet! Love the background too. Your Allie is stunning, with mud on her face and in a beautiful formal dress, what a beautiful color on her too, that's the dress, not the mud!!

    Hugs

Unopened Mail And My Grocery List

We arrived back from our Las Vegas trip last night so the only thing on my Kitchen Counter is unopened mail and my grocery list.  I have looked up the recipes for most the great food we ate (or wish we ate) in Las Vegas including Bacon Waffles and Chicken and Waffles - so my counter top should look awesome tomorrow (or as soon as I get a waffle maker).  We had lots of fun in Las Vegas but not as much as Crystal and Joey.  If we were still 21 we would have had a blast!  No luck with gambling - but I only gained 1 pound which is a miracle!

Christmas Mice

Hello Crafty Friends, Today, I am playing in some fun challenges with this cute card: The current House-Mouse &Friends Monday Challenge HMFMC #461 is Anything Goes with an optional theme of Pastels. I have some pastel paper in my layers. This card was made with ornaments from a SU! set, a cut up sentiment from RedLead Paperworks, and three mice I cut out of the Spellbinders Sew Sweet stamp set. The background was inspired by Jeanne Streiff's MIX challenge on Splitcoaststampers.com last Friday where she asked us to make a background using a die cut as a stencil.

T is For 10 Years of T-Day, Too much food, and The Art (Always the Art)

Hello Friends. Most of today's post is about celebrating 10 years of Elizabeth hosting T-day parties on her blog .  If you have visited me before, you know that I regularily participate in T-day where we all post something about a drink of any type (the drink can be anything including water and the post can be a real drink, words, movies, art, etc.) on Tuesday (or Monday lol) and link it to Elizabeth's T-day blog post for the week.   This year Elizabeth is asking us to post several things in celebration of the big anniversary.   #1.   Post a picture of something that makes the number 10. I used 10 art supplies that were near me.  I am starting to make more Christmas cards so these were right at hand.  #2.   Post our regular T-day picture/post.  My drink picture today is a lunch we had in Tybee Island last week during our Georgia trip.  We ate at Pier 16 .  Great food and service. It was our favorite meal during the trip. ...
