Some Sheep and Some Advice


The current (ends by tomorrow) challenge at The Amazing Octopode Factory (TOFF#48) is Animals. My only Octopode Animal image is the little Sheep from Bo Peep so guess what animal I chose!

These sheep have had a really bad hair day - poor little things! I combined them with the Octopode Fence which I printed out on the recycled backing from some K&Co accents. I distressed the backing with an emery board because it was slick and I wanted my printer ink to stick to it. I colored by sheep bodies with Copics and popped them up around the fence. There has been a lot of sheep counting for my family these days - we either can't go to sleep or we crash and can barely wake up. Pop seems to be doing a bit better - they let him out of ICU yesterday. Hopefully it will be onto rehab today.

My cardstock is all SU! You can enter the challenge with any animal from any company but you will have to do it today or super early in the morning because I was running late on this one.


The Haunted Design House Challenge is all about teeth. The title of the challenge is Long in the Tooth (HDH134).

I love this cute little KiniArt monster (available at the Can You Digi It? store) and it has one super long tooth! I colored it with Copics, and then covered the whole monster in Rock Candy Stickles. My dp is from DCWV's Safari Pack and the cardstock is from Michaels.

The sentiment is one that I am living by these days. Our division manager gave some of us this advice awhile back when we were trying to tackle a particularily large task, and we are still trying to eat that elephant! I think I may have about 20% of it eaten - LOL!

    Sheep are adorable in any shape, form, or fashion. I love these. Monsters normally scare me, but not this one. He's really cool. So glad your Dad got out of ICU...maybe better days are ahead for him.

    Those sheep are totally adorable, Nancy! I like the funny sentiment that goes along with them, too. They really are cute!

    The 'elephant' card makes me smile as well; reminds me of "Where the Wild Things Are".

    Hahahaha- I love that second card so much-it hits home for me. My oldest loves elephants and he can chow down when it's eating time....I have to show this to him. He will get a huge kick out of it. How fun!!!

Hello friends, Last week felt like a stormy sea of its own with my husband recovering from recent hip replacement surgery and several friends and family members facing life battles - my heart was caught in the waves. Flowers, a Flag, and Some Wise Words

Hello Crafty Friends! I love Halle's theme at **Art*Journal*Journey* this month: Botanicals. So many possibilities... I combined the botanical theme with some of the colors in ARTNUDGE#725A and came up with this Bible Art Journal page focusing on 1 Timothy 2:1-2. I also made a patriotic prayer card too. In these verses, Paul tells Timothy (and all of us) to pray for everyone but he especially calls out prayer for kings and leaders. He indicates that this type of prayer could lead us to a tranquil and quite life in all godliness and dignity. I think we can all agree that the world needs much prayer right now and it is an easy step we can take.   I experimented on this journal page. I usually cover any bible journal pages with gesso before painting on them, but I have issues with the gesso gumming up my Micron pens or unevenly taking color. This time I used Daniel Smith Ground Medium in Titanium White (I mixed it with 10 parts water). I loved it and will be using it in the fut...

Wise Words for Life's Storms

 My first post as a Guest Designer for Creative Worship Stamps. This watercolor and ink card features one of my favorite CWS sentiments - Big God . I am so grateful He is there in storms and this stamp beautifully underscores His power. The main panel of this card is watercolor paper and was painted with Daniel Smith Watercolors and Liquid Ink (the white highlights in the rain drops).
