A Case of a AudreyAnn


My fellow Punchkateer, Audrey (aka AudreyAnn) was selected as Queen for the Day on the QFTD challenge at SCS so I had to case her. I looked and looked through her cards and it just became overwhelming as she has 8 kajillion great cards. I finally just closed my eyes and picked one (click HERE to see it). I love all her colors and the card shape, but for some reason I just went with simple and white).

Audrey is one of the most talented paper crafters out there and she is sooo sweet. I could go back and pick 100 cards to case, but I would not be able to do them justice. I am thrilled that she was able to inspire others this week by allowing us to case her past work. Special hugz to you Audrey!

Yesterday, I was able to make several cards AND take a nap - what a wonderful day! This is one of the cards I was able to make. I am hoping you all had a productive weekend.

    Love, love,love all that fab embossing. The use of the predominately ivory, really make the bird and branch stand out.

    Loving all that embossing and white on white! Gorgeous! Lovely touch with the sponging of the oval too. Wonderful tribute to Audrey :)

    A beautiful card for our Queen Audzi. She loves to sponge and yours looks so pretty around the bird. I could have cased a kajillion of her cards. :-) You made a gorgeous card to honor her and I know she loves it.

    Wow this is STUNNING! Love the all-white, and the scored background is fab:) Gorgeous coloring and sponging on the bird, he's so pretty! :)

Some Penguins

Today kicks off the newest Pattie's Creations Challenge which is Tags . Just Tags. No cards with Tags on or in them - just tags. I love to make just tags so this one was right up my alley. I used the super cute Penguin image from Pattie's Creations, but I couldn't stop at just one so I made a little penguin family. My tag is made from an old cardboard box top which I peeled down, painted, distressed a bit, and then added some snow medium. My bow is actually a new bow designed by Pamela Lehto (available at Squigglefly tomorrow). Language Plays, Billiard Balls, and Some "Interesting" Wine

 I always look forward to the new **Art*Journal*Journey* Theme each month. The May theme was chosen by Elle and she chose Language as the theme. So many cool things you can do with that theme.  This weekend I chose to do the Language(s) of God in my Journaling Bible.  When I started, I was going to do Fasting as a way of speaking to God but after listening to a Sermon on Fasting, I realized that was more complicated and I would have to study it more first. So I switched gears midstream and just did some of ways that God speaks to us and vice versa.  There are many more, but I put the ones I could think of quickly here.   The papers are from an old hymnal and Close to My Heart (CTMH).  The gnome is CTMH as well.  Now I have played with all the gnomes in the set,and I totally love them. While looking for the hymnal paper, I ran across an old song book that I was saving.  It was damaged so I knew it would have to be recycled into something....

Two Cards and Two Drinks

Today's post includes two cards and two drinks, all of which have been on my kitchen counter. Feelng a bit lost in Wonderland lately - too much work at work and home.  Thought this card would be appropriate to give myself.   The base layer is teabag glued to some heavyweight white card stock.  I used gesso to add a few scraps of Alice paper from Stamperia (too hard to throw away any of it!), and then I added a thin layer of white gesso and some water colors.  A run though the Big Shot with an embossing folder and some splatters of tea and paint added more interest.  Making this base was a bit like a trip to Wonderland as it sort of made itself over a few days - lol. I fussy cut the cat and sentiment out of the Alice papers and stapled on a border to complete the look.  Isn't this cat the cutest?
