My first post as a Guest Designer for Creative Worship Stamps. This watercolor and ink card features one of my favorite CWS sentiments - Big God . I am so grateful He is there in storms and this stamp beautifully underscores His power. The main panel of this card is watercolor paper and was painted with Daniel Smith Watercolors and Liquid Ink (the white highlights in the rain drops). The words were stamped with black ink from Close to My Heart. Hugz, Nancy
So pretty, Nancy. The gold butterflies really pop against that dark paper.
ReplyDeleteThe snow came for a while but the flakes were so tiny I could hardly see them. Just a few miles away, it was really coming down from what I saw on the news. Shucks! I want a big snow. :-)
Fabulous design and great paper choices. I can see how it would make itself.
ReplyDeleteIt took us 6 1/2 hours to come from Nashville to B'ham yesterday. Normally, it's a 3 hour drive. I almost typed in "tour" instead of drive as the Gilligan's Island song popped in my head :-). Cullman County was a nightmare to go through - lots of ice and snow and wrecks on I-65. Luckily we made it safely, but wouldn't want to drive through that stuff again.
This is so sophisticated, Nancy, and I adore those lovely warm colors. A beautiful creation for this fine Friday! I hope you have a super weekend, my friend! :-)
ReplyDeleteAn elegant card. I have that designer paper, and you are right it's makes great cards...
ReplyDeleteThank you for the nice comments on my blog...In regard to my paper bag books. I find them to be very addicting, I want to make a couple more. I like the fact, that not only are they easy to make, they are also quite inexpensive too. I like your idea of putting recipes, etc. in the paper bag pockets. In fact, one of the friends that I gave the book to, is going to make one herself, and do just that...make it a recipe book with extra recipes in the pockets to pull out.
Very elegant! Love that you let the beautiful DP do the work! Gorgeous card!
ReplyDeleteYummy paper and I just love the shape of your focal panel - not to mention the gold butterflies. Great card!
