Pink and Black Flower Arrangement

This week our team is off at Squigglefly and Holley's team is playing with Pink and whatever other color they want in the latest Squigglefly challenge. I love color challenges and I got some fun new pink glitter from Sparkle and Sprinkle (I picked it up at the CK Jacksonville conference) so I had to play. My image is one of the new ones from Pamela Lehto called Pam's Daisy Bouquet Cup. I love these sweet flowers - what a fun image. My bg is a piece of a corrugated
cardboard box I painted and distressed and touched a bit with some Tim Holtz pink distressed ink.

I am also entering this in the Sparkle and Sprinkle September challenge which is to use glitter, embossing or flocking on your creation.

Hope you have a wonderful week! Hugz!

  14. Hey GF: I am posting here as I don't know if you got my email. I will post the Wedding albums starting this weekend. It takes like 6-7 hours to download each video and I finally finished. It has been raining here forever so my pictures come out too dark, but yeah I will be posting everything soon. The weekend after the CKC I was wanting so bad to do it all over again that I was sad....lol I miss you like crazy too. But on the bright side-I think we are coming to AL in February...lol My husband said your DH invited us....lol

  15. Hi, Nancy! What a delightful card with the pretty warm colors in the background and the lovely pink flowers! A very pretty combination. Amazing texture, and I especially like the dark die cut which picks up the color in the vase (lovely shading). Such pretty design elements in your masterpiece, Nancy! I have become your newest follower! hugs, de {Creative Smiles}

Forest Goodies and Other Projects

 Hello Crafty Friends. I just got the Stamperia Forest Paper and Die Cuts in the mail so I had to play with them right away.   I have a combo creation - journal page and card.  On the journal page I used my 6x6 Dina Wakley Journal and laid a base of gesso.  I then used Dina's pastel crayons and some SU! inks and stamps.  Also added in some TH Dress Ink in Vintage Photo since I don't know how to make anything without it  (seriously).   The eagle is a Stamperia Forest die cut and is coated with gesso.  Did a bit of stenciling and distressing to finish the page off.  I am linking this the the **Art*Journal*Journey* September Texture Theme (last day - can't wait to see what October's Theme will be).  The die cut and the little smears add texture to the already very textured page.   I love the blue and green together and was inspired to made a quick card for my Son-in-law who cut down some tree limbs for us the other day....

Some Penguins

Today kicks off the newest Pattie's Creations Challenge which is Tags . Just Tags. No cards with Tags on or in them - just tags. I love to make just tags so this one was right up my alley. I used the super cute Penguin image from Pattie's Creations, but I couldn't stop at just one so I made a little penguin family. My tag is made from an old cardboard box top which I peeled down, painted, distressed a bit, and then added some snow medium. My bow is actually a new bow designed by Pamela Lehto (available at Squigglefly tomorrow). Please join us in the Pattie's Creations Tag Challenge - there are lovely DT tags for inspiration and Pattie gives away wonderful prizes! Hugz!

Bear-ied In Paperwork

 Back again, with a card for this week's House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge ( HMFMC#424 ).  This week the challenge is Anything goes with the option of scraps of paper. I took the option literally and added scraps of paper on my kitchen counter.  I needed a thank you card for someone who has been helping us organize A LOT of papers.   I stamped the image (House Mouse Gruffies Bear-ied in Paperwork -2007) using CTMH Black, then coloring the image with Daniel Smith Watercolors.  I drew in an extra paper or two so that I could make one of them a Thank You paper - it is the top right and shaded pink.  Thanks for visiting, Nancy
