Beer, Journaling, and a Card

 Happy T-day, friends.

Starting off with my ticket to Elizabeth's T-day link up  on her fun blog, Altered Book Lover.  I know a Michelob Ultra is not terribly exciting but this was at Cracker Barrel.  In all the years, I have been going to Cracker Barrel, they have never offered alcohol so thi was a shock to me.  

Hubby had the chicken pot pie.
I had greens (x2), carrots, and brocolli (plus the beer - lol).  The diet is still on, down almost 17 lbs.

I have some art to share as well. Starting with my popsicle inspired Bible Journal page. 

My grandson was eating a popsicle and I used some of the colors to do my page.  Linking this to Elizabeth's What's Your Style theme over at **Art*Journal*Journey*.  My style is still evolving, but I do love layers of paper or ink.  This page has ink and Stickle layers.  

Here is #Wanderlust2020Class creation in my journal.  What a fabulous lesson this past week. 9 layers of ink, paper, gesso, modeling paste, paint, and details.  My art may never be the same!

It is a case of my friend Kathy's card HERE. I kept her square main panel, metalic elements, and die cuts.

    I like those colors better on an art page like yours than in food. But little kids just can't resist colorful ice creams, even when they know that chocolate tastes better.

    Hi Nancy, I loved seeing all of your art beautiful, when we ever happen to be in a city-not often=I love Cracker Barrel very much-I do not remember alcohol served there either. They do have delicious "country" foods. congrats on the weight loss! that is always an achievement Happy T and new month hugs Kathy

    I didn't realize you could get beer at Cracker Barrel. We have them around here, and I never have trouble finding menu items I like. Happy T Tuesday!

    Beautiful art projects Nancy! I love that you did a rainbow like page around the popsicle colors. Your Wanderlust class pages are so very lovely- I love that there is so much white (I know, it IS me talking here-lol) but the layers really make it special. I've never been to a Cracker Barrel. Perhaps one day...

    Your journal page that took on the colors of your grandson's popsicle is beautiful. Your certainly named it right because I was in awe when I saw it. Beautiful and such a great first entry for my theme at Art Journal Journey.

    I also love the double spread from Wanderlust. Lots of texture and beautiful layers. That card was also incredible, and very different (I thought) from the one that inspired you.

    Like others who have been to Cracker Barrel (I've been twice because there is not one in Wichita), I was surprised to see they offer beer. Not good craft beer, but beer none-the-less. That pot pie looks fattening. Good thing your husband ate it. Congrats on your weight loss. Amazing how much you have lost in a month. Thanks for sharing your incredible art journal pages, your card, and your trip to Cracker Barrel for beer with us for T this Tuesday, Nancy.

    What a fun popsicle page, I too would be in awe of those colours, really well matched. I love your winter scene with the little bird house in the tree, i've always wanted to sign up for wanderlust but I don't use FB. It's great seeing everyone's makes though.

      Tracey, I just use my computer for Wanderlust - you don't have to use Facebook at all! Come sign up - I am only on week 2 (will take me all year). Actually, the more I think about it, you need to sign up to be a teacher not a participant! Maybe sign up to be a participant so you check it out and then be a teacher the next year.

    Beautiful projects! I like how you used the popsicle for inspiration.

    I used to love to go to the Cracker barrel. We don't have one near where we live.
    but back in the days when Jim and I would go on vacation. The one place that we would go was about 6 hour drive from home. We would always go to the Cracker Barrel for a meal. I so miss that.

Forest Goodies and Other Projects

 Hello Crafty Friends. I just got the Stamperia Forest Paper and Die Cuts in the mail so I had to play with them right away.   I have a combo creation - journal page and card.  On the journal page I used my 6x6 Dina Wakley Journal and laid a base of gesso.  I then used Dina's pastel crayons and some SU! inks and stamps.  Also added in some TH Dress Ink in Vintage Photo since I don't know how to make anything without it  (seriously).   The eagle is a Stamperia Forest die cut and is coated with gesso.  Did a bit of stenciling and distressing to finish the page off.  I am linking this the the **Art*Journal*Journey* September Texture Theme (last day - can't wait to see what October's Theme will be).  The die cut and the little smears add texture to the already very textured page.   I love the blue and green together and was inspired to made a quick card for my Son-in-law who cut down some tree limbs for us the other day.  The paper in the middle is from the Stamperia Forest

Milkshake Malt Porter and a Bit of Art

 Hello friends and Happy T-day. It has been hit or miss with me lately on T-day posts. The remodel of our house next door has taken our mental and physical energy.  I think a few more weeks and things will be on the contractor instead of us.  Hopefully I will be back to normal by then. My Oldest Darling Daughter asked if we wanted to come for dinner Saturday.  Translation:  go to the store with me and we will bring part of dinner to your house and you cook the rest.  While at the store, I saw one 6 pack of this fun milkshake porter so, of course, I bought it.  It smells wonderful (a hint of chocolate and a hit of malt) and has a light creamy taste.  I would definitely buy it again if I see it.  My son-in-law did not like it, but he is more a  Miller Lite fan.  Now if this had been a whiskey, he would have been all over it.  LOL.  Linking this to Elizabeth's blog for the T-party gang. A Martini, Peanut Butter Cupakes, and Art

Hello Friends. Today, I have an ecletic mix of drinks, dessert, and art. First, it's T-day somewhere in the world so time for a drink post which I am linking to Elizabeth's Blog - Altered Book Lover.  Last week we had a work related dinner.  When the waitress asked what I wanted to drink, I had a sudden craving for a martini.  I use to love them, but I guess my tastes have changed because I wasn't a fan.  I was a fan of the chips and dips though! And the day before, I brought my Sister's fabulous peanut butter cupcakes.  Mainly because I was craving them and couldn't ask her to make just one..... Over at **Art*Journal*Journey* Elle picked a theme of Books, Cats, and Tea (you can pick one, two or three of the items).  I did a Bible Journal Page in my Journaling Bible - Luke 13:24-25.  After a layer of Gesso, I took a Sharpie pen and drew the kitty, then the narrow door, and then colored the door with Arteza Brush pens. The verse was written with a Micron pen.  This
