Wild Pumpkins


This week's Haunted Design House Challenge (HDH#150) is "Oh My Gourd!" I love that title!!! The challenge requires a pumpkin or gourd inspired creation. It is suppose to be scary or dark and mine is only scary if you think about it. A pumpkin with leopard skin or tiger skin would be pretty scary wouldn't it? What would cause this type of thing other than mutant genes/cells/body structure - and what is scarier than that?

Anyway, I made these pumpkins using my SU! Oval punch and some Green Goddess Walk on the Wild Side digi papers (from Can You Digi It?) - I love these papers! My leaves were made using a Spellbinders leaf die.

    Love these prints! Too bad my ad aware won't let me click on the links....I must have DH uninstall! I think the pumpkins are fabulous. Not too scary, but very chic, lol.

    Mutant genes?????? HA You're too funny. I will say they're unique but I like them...very cool. Maybe I should decorate some like this for Halloween. I wonder what the treat or treaters would think. :-)

    Love the idea of those oval punches being used for this 3-D effect. No mutant pumpkins here though, not even a regular one to be found in the shops. Thank you for sharing this with us at MM @ HDH

Hello Crafty Friends! I love Halle's theme at **Art*Journal*Journey* this month: Botanicals. So many possibilities... I combined the botanical theme with some of the colors in ARTNUDGE#725A and came up with this Bible Art Journal page focusing on 1 Timothy 2:1-2. I also made a patriotic prayer card too. In these verses, Paul tells Timothy (and all of us) to pray for everyone but he especially calls out prayer for kings and leaders. He indicates that this type of prayer could lead us to a tranquil and quite life in all godliness and dignity. I think we can all agree that the world needs much prayer right now and it is an easy step we can take.   I experimented on this journal page. I usually cover any bible journal pages with gesso before painting on them, but I have issues with the gesso gumming up my Micron pens or unevenly taking color. Wise Words for Life's Storms

 My first post as a Guest Designer for Creative Worship Stamps. This watercolor and ink card features one of my favorite CWS sentiments - Big God . I am so grateful He is there in storms and this stamp beautifully underscores His power. The main panel of this card is watercolor paper and was painted with Daniel Smith Watercolors and Liquid Ink (the white highlights in the rain drops).
