Witch Humor

This is Freebie/Guest Designer Week at Dude Time Doodles. The free image is the wonderfully fun Wanda Witch I have used on this card.

The image is a freebie to those who want to enter the challenge. The challenge winner gets to be a Guest Designer at Dude Time for the month of October which means they get to hang out with the incrediably fun Dude and Dudettes and make Dude cards with the super fun Dude Time Doodles images.

Hope to see you join us!

Hugz to all!

  1. Oh my gosh that is a hoot. What a fun card Nutzi. Oh your name fits you so well. I love the sentiment-of course the hat does not make the butt look to big. That is why you wear the big hat to camouflage the big butt. You draw the eye up to the big hat so that people don't notice anything else. This is why I wear a lot of bling jewelry....hahaha. Super cute and super fun card. Have a great day.
    Bear Hugs,

  2. Too funny! Love the colors and that embossed circle is perfect. Great paper choices and design too! Love it!

  3. HAHAHAHA..what a funny sentiment. Maybe the witch should stick to wearing black and it wouldn't show as much. I like Carol's comment about why she wears a lot of bling jewelry. :-) It's a card sure to give someone a laugh.

  4. LOL at the sentiment! Too fun. Wonderful mix of papers and like the bling on the bats.

  5. LOL!!! Great card, fab image and topped off perfectly by that hilarious sentiment :)

  6. Brilliant fun card Nancy, fab colouring, I like the colours the bats and that sentiment lol.
    Kevin xx

  7. Nancy, is that a skull in the embossing above Wanda's head? Or just my imagination? What is the embossing folder? It looks very intriguing!

  8. Absolutely all out fun! Love, love the sentiment so funny but soooo true!

  9. I love the red & black colour theme - an a cute little bat LOL!!! A great card!

  10. ROFL! This card completely cracked me up - from that green-faced witch to that hilarious sentiment! I love those bat accents too!

Forest Goodies and Other Projects

Hello Crafty Friends. I just got the Stamperia Forest Paper and Die Cuts in the mail so I had to play with them right away.   I have a combo creation - journal page and card.  On the journal page I used my 6x6 Dina Wakley Journal and laid a base of gesso.  I then used Dina's pastel crayons and some SU! inks and stamps.  Also added in some TH Dress Ink in Vintage Photo since I don't know how to make anything without it  (seriously).   The eagle is a Stamperia Forest die cut and is coated with gesso.  Did a bit of stenciling and distressing to finish the page off.  I am linking this the the **Art*Journal*Journey* September Texture Theme (last day - can't wait to see what October's Theme will be).  The die cut and the little smears add texture to the already very textured page.   I love the blue and green together and was inspired to made a quick card for my Son-in-law who cut down some tree limbs for us the other day.  The paper in the middle is from the Stamperia Forest

A Bit of Tea, Horses, and a Cowboy

I love when my children follow in my footsteps and beyond (only the cool footsteps, of course).   My daughter, Allie, has developed a love of tea.  She sent me this picture over the weekend of her having tea in her newly remodelled bedroom.   She was drinking Breakfast in Paris tea in one of her favorite thrift store mugs.  This is my ticket to the T-day gathering over at Elizabeth's blog .  To join us, all you have to do is have a drink related post (can be any type of drink).   The neighborhood horses have been gathering in our backyard for some reason. Our horse refuses to come up near our house because the lady who owns all these horses gives her much better treats.  They all jump the fences and visit everyone.  The mule in the picture is actually named after me because I named one of cows after the neighbor (he paid me back - lol). I gave them apples when they came on Sunday, and they have come back every day since - lol.  We had a bit of sadness yesterday when another neighb

Brotherhood Wishes, a Paper Purse, and a Special Mug

Hello friends. No more fun travel or parade pictures - back to every day normal life.  On a positive note, I have been able to fit in some art. Hereis an art journal spread I finished this weekend. I am adding it to Alison's Summer Landscape challenge theme at **Art*Journal*Journey* .   I started the pages in my journal around July 4th after seeing Dina's stripes inspired Mixed Media challenge on and got as far as stamping some foliage at the bottom.  I was stuck after that, and I wasn't sure where to go with it next.  A few days later, I was clearing out some things in the craft room and ran across a Thomas Kinkade book I cut up and use in my Bible Journaling.  There was a picture of  the San Francisco Bridge and another of some mountains so I tore them out and added them to my page with Gesso representing some of the beautiful things in America and also Alison's countryside theme.  They did not blend in very well and I needed to alter them to wo
