A Cardinal and A Tractor


Today's Featured Stamper at SCS is GailNM and I picked her Winter Chickadee card to case. I used the Cardinal on Branch from Pattie's Creations and layered it on a Delicous Doodles image.

I am entering this card in the Pattie's Creations Challenge #58 - Red and Green.


My DD needed a thank-you card for a neighbor who helped her and her boyfriend move some dirt. He used his tractor and saved them a lot of time. I love this Tim Holtz pine tree die!

    Love the image sort of shimmered out and the cardinal popping against the paper.
    I love that die cut mat. What is the die? It is just gorgeous!

    Both cards are gorgeous Nancy, I like the red cardinal sitting on his branch the embossing and the background, the tractor with the trees looks fab.

    Both of these are gorgeous! Love how the cardinal really pops against the cream and the thank you card is so pretty - love that monochromatic look you gave it.

Language Plays, Billiard Balls, and Some "Interesting" Wine

 I always look forward to the new **Art*Journal*Journey* Theme each month. The May theme was chosen by Elle and she chose Language as the theme. So many cool things you can do with that theme.  This weekend I chose to do the Language(s) of God in my Journaling Bible.  When I started, I was going to do Fasting as a way of speaking to God but after listening to a Sermon on Fasting, I realized that was more complicated and I would have to study it more first. Some Penguins

Today kicks off the newest Pattie's Creations Challenge which is Tags . Just Tags. No cards with Tags on or in them - just tags. I love to make just tags so this one was right up my alley. I used the super cute Penguin image from Pattie's Creations, but I couldn't stop at just one so I made a little penguin family. My tag is made from an old cardboard box top which I peeled down, painted, distressed a bit, and then added some snow medium. My bow is actually a new bow designed by Pamela Lehto (available at Squigglefly tomorrow). Stamps, Books, Found Relatives, and More Food

 Don't you love getting new stuff?  This is my fun new stuff from  Red Lead Paperworks .   I ordered the fun vintage looking deer stamp and the three Christmas greetings - all were on sale a few weeks ago.  I love getting their packages because they always send some extra little goodies like collage sheets and old tickets plus even their packaging is cute and reusable.  The sheet with the leaves and acorns on the bottom is the other side of the invoice so you can reuse it as well.  I can't wait to play with these fun goodies.  Here is a look at my current reading pile.  I checked Basil's War by Stephen Hunter from the library, my daughter lent me The Paper Palace, and I bought The Host, Going Back to Petrey, and The Lady in Blue from the Thrift Store. I am reading Basil's War and The Lady in Blue at the same time - something I really shouldn't do especially since both books are the kind that switch between stories every chapter.  Th...
