It was a Dilly Beans kind of morning. I checked the Dilly Beans Challenge and saw the theme was Easter; then I found a new challenge called the Corrosive Challenge and they are being sponsored by Dilly Beans this week. So glad I found a new reason to use my oh so fun Dilly Beans images.
My first card is for the Easter Dilly Beans Challenge:
I used my fav snowman image - probably the last time I get to use him until I start my Christmas cards (but you never know...). My papers are all SU!, the North to Alaska strip was typed and then distressed, and the snowflake looking thing in the bottom corner is from K&Co. I added a bunch of Stickles and fake stitches.
It is my belief that snowmen never die, they just go to Alaska and wait for Winter to come back down South. (If you can't read my sentiment, it says: Every year when that bunny comes, I am forced to move to Alaska and reinvent myself...stress kills!)
My next card is for the Corrosive Blog Challenge which is all about Heavy Metal (Corrosive146). I have my Dilly Beans Zombie Girl image anchored in with 4 pieces of metal hardware. I used Rock Star paper as my background.
Since tomorrow is Easter and this blog is about what is on my kitchen counter, I thought I would share with you something I have in my curio cabinet in my kitchen.
These eggs were painted by a friend of mine, Barbara Black. She is a wonderful artist and she painted these Emu eggs to raise money at our church. I purchased one, she gave me one, and a friend of mine gave me one before she passed away. I have had them for years, and I think they are best kind of Easter Eggs.
Yesterday, I saw a church sign that read: "The world's saddest and happiest days were only three days apart." I love statements like this.
